Lol
Most all states outlaw radar detectors.. Some cops actually use a radar detector detector and carries a big fine if you get busted using one...because I was a over-the-road driver in all 48 states I didnt carry a radar detector, just doive the speed limits.. one speeding ticket in18 yrs driving a truck wasn't bad.. lol
lol the countermeasures I was refering to are not radar detectors. Radar detectors here are legal where I live.
The radar detector detectors are called VG2, and believe it or not, you can buy radar detector detector detectors that alert to the VG2, even if the speed measurment radar is on standby.
My first generation used radar transmitters, to activly jam their radar, (actually, they were an experimental project to determine if microwaves deterred deer from highways
But besides the legal debates about it, the more realistic problem was that my transmitters set off every radar detector for miles ahead. Sort of defeated the purpose, as all it did was slow down the traffic ahead, and create my own traffic jam.
The stuff I use now, does not transmit any RF energy, but prevents radar lock. For laser, and photoradar I have several powererfull IR LED emitters on the licence plate bracket, front and rear, that flash very very quickly, and are invisible to the naked eye. They drown out the Lidar reflection, and act like a floodlight pointed into the lens of the cameras.
No tickets in nearly 15 years. Never had an at-fault accident, And I don't drive too fast for the conditions. Speed, contrary to public opinion does not kill. Unscheduled rapid dissasembly events due to to near instant deceleration, well, that definatly can kill, and is even more annoying than speeding tickets, so I avoid those too. lol
