Maybe your wicking then...not sure. I wick mine to where the wick barely reaches below the ring and rarely have a problem with mine. I have also found it seals best if after filling you take 5-6 good draws on it with the juice holes about halfway closed. One time that mine dumped really bad I had a bit too much wick and after turning the juice control it pulled a bit of the wick over the airway and flooded. I trimmed it back some and it worked well then.

I'ts likely the wicking, although I do my black Griffin exactly the same way. Another thing I've noticed about the silver one,,, I have one bitch of a time with the air control. I try to open or close it and the whole darn tank turns. I guess I just plain don't like this stupid thing. I just got a Melo2 and have had not one ounce of trouble with that. Have a crown that's pretty great too. Think I'll get rid of the Griffin and maybe get another Melo,,, or something else. Shopping,,, the shopping never ends!!

Folger's Brazilian is fucking awesome.

Starshits burns their coffee so damned bad it should never hit the public's lips.. if I drink it even before the gallbladder thing it was like a promise I would be suffering the screaming shits in 30 minutes of less. What they have done to coffee there is a special place in hell for them.


Big hair is easier to grab a handful of.

Some of the bases were faulty, IIRC especially the older ones. The fits were loose so it was very easy to spin. Sounds like you got an old faulty base.

As a side note, I went and for science tried the scottish roll wicking style in my Griffin the last rewicking, I'm liking it a lot, wicks great even with that ton of cotton in there, but as a side-effect it also makes that juice control quite tight to turn, which is nice. Mine wasn't SUPER loose like some are reporting, but it was looser than I liked.

So the other night I whipped something up.
I had some left over seasoned flour I dredged the beef through, a head of cauliflower and some eggs.

I am not going to lie I loathe cauliflower like nothing else. Only times I really enjoyed it is the roasted, or the tahini coats baked stuff from the syrian place down the way.

I riced it, steamed it and should have wrung it dry, added some more spices, egg and flower to make a kind of dough out of it and tossed it on a hot griddle top.

I think I need to add some green onion to the mix and some grated parm for them to really shine.

I've thought about trying the Scottish roll,,, might be worth a shot before I shit-can the thing. I've lost about 20ml of good juice through it,,, guess I should fill it with something I don't care about.

Always the best bet while fiddling with something that you're not confident in, at least that's what I do. I'll only use my favorites when I'm pretty confident. I use something that won't make me throw up but I don't like when testing... and I don't know why I'm holding onto those sickening juices I have but ehh.
