Oh it was horrible. I've been so considerate of his nose for 29 yrs, never ever cooking cabbage even though I love it.... I swear to god, I wanna cook some cabbage RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!! Cook it to slimy mush so it stinks him right outta the house, after that!

But I'm cooking some Mrs Paul's beer battered fish filets for me, which should help a lot, and some broccoli with garlic, which should also help a lot. He's got BBQ ribs from the same feast at work.... not great smelling but a hell of a lot better than that horrible "pork". GAHHHHHH!

Dead flesh smell? Or something else? My Brother's pulled pork will make an entire house smell like a rotting carcass all day, then when he gets home to add all the extras to it, that transforms into the best tasting and smelling food in the world (I no longer call bacon meat candy because it can't beat this pork). That smell does come back a little bit when reheating the leftovers though, but nothing like while it's slowcooking all night/day. Ugh I want some of it now.

Not sure why it smelled so bad, but it really did smell like a cross between fecal matter and a full dumpster, just ungodly putrid. I had to go outside for a while, after I opened the kitchen window and turned on the ceiling fan. When I came back in, I got the clean clothes out of the dryer, so I got a noseful of lavender dryer sheet, then cleaned my humidifier with bleach -- which I've been procrastinating; now seemed like a REALLY good time to get it done.

The fish is just starting to fill the kitchen with an aroma of something edible... when it's nearly done, I'll toss the broccoli florets into the butter/garlic boiling water, and that'll help a lot too.

My nose has been really fucked up for a couple weeks, from this cold or whatever it is, but it's just starting to kinda-sorta recover... but even so, since I quit smoking, my "keen as a beagle" nose has transformed into "bloodhound".... which is why I told him if he ever brought home something like that again, I was going back to smoking! Maybe not... but I'll definitely be cooking some cabbage!!! :D

:cheers: 5 more minutes and I can leave, pick up my whiskey from the store and join in the fun. I'll cut up my hand as an excuse if necessary, but I don't think I have to (my secret is little to no responsibilities to get in the way of my drinking:bliss:).
