decent laptops for internet and minimal office applications can be had for nominal price nowadays.
is it the speed or the touchscreen? if its the touchscreen, than I would try getting a Bluetooth keyboard first.

I don't mind using tablets for forums at all, matter of fact I use my phone more then I use my new laptop to visit here.

PCs are not app based, so probably not. Apps are primarily on smart phones and Macs. I could be wrong, but that's been my experience.is there a good app for reading books on a tablet which is not a Kindle? I was looking for an app to read an e-book on my PC the other day, and really not finding anything.
