Good morning all. 56F currently, but will be returning to the normal 70's starting tomorrow. Well, I've decided that the quad coil works best in my TFV8's. The rba deck is somewhat rubbish, sadly.

Not so much the traffic, but the roads can get really bad through Bolton landing and Keene. And JFK???? A nightmare, I'd pay extra to not hit that place
I WISH that my friend would avoid NYC too!.....but that's the only direct from Charleston to here. See the sweatshirt that she's wearing in the picture?......It says, "I'm NOT bossy.....I'M THE BOSS!"..........:teehee:.

It would be a indoor mod for me. Try using a touchscreen mod with gloves on. As it is, after a few min outside all my TC mods kick into power mode, as the poor little puters in them cannot mkake sense of the resistance change caused by the cold.

And high VG juice turns to sludge. Have taken to putting a couple of drops of vodka into my juice on the outdoor mod.

That's true, but the Ocular C has a music player built in, so I would have Purple Haze loaded. :giggle:

I only use the RBA on mine. The Craptons it came with were crap, but I built some 26 gauge 4mm stainless coils, and its stellar.
Apparently I have issues getting the vacuum correct, as it keeps leaking through the AFC. Oddly I never have that issue with my Kayfuns (KFL+, V4, V5). I also switched to dual core fused Claptons.

Don't feel bad, I had the same thing happen. There are two likely reasons. The first, and least likely, is that the RBA base is loose. Not loose in the tank base, but the lower part of the RBA unscrews from the upper. Make sure they are tightly screwed together.

The most likely reason for leakage is wicking. The axiom that when wicking, "less cotton is more" goes right out the window with the TFV8. With this monster, more is not less, more is a ton more, in keeping with its entire design philosophy.

The juice channels are enormous. Unless you are getting dry hits, ( really really hard to do with the TFV8) make sure they are packed with cotton. Leave the tails longer, and make sure they overlap in that spot behind/under the posts, and there will be no more leaking. I have to rewick mine later, and can send you some pics if you like.
