Yep, I'll be glad to get this one over with. It's been a long, busy week doing lot's of work in grocery side getting it reset for the new brands coming in since we changed warehouses.

Thanks. Only big update on the man-garden is the 18 basil plants. The reason I grew so many is that they came in a basil variety pack so I wanted to make sure I had at least one or two genovese. Also, since I planted them late, I assumed I'd need to pick smaller amounts from each plant for a while.
BTW, I figured out why I had gnats when the first run of tomatoes were starting in the house. Contaminated retail potting mix. So now, in addition to making my own potting mix, I also get it up to 180 degrees in the oven before using.
That's great I love to see my friend grow their own food it's so much better health wise. I always use top notch starter soil for my starter plants it gives them a healthy start. Keep at it . Did you try any potatoes? they are easy and taste sooo gooood.
I'd like to try some next year, and some jalapenos. Then more tomatoes and basil.
The lavender and rosemary are going into the house somewhere for the winter. Apparently I can leave the thyme in the ground and it will survive.

Yes give potatoes a try put them in about 6 " deep 3-4 weeks before the last frost in your area. I will be digging mine in a week. I always have some left from the previous year when I plant new ones, almost never buy any at the store
