Thank you for contacting ASUS Customer Service.

My name is Pig and it's my pleasure to help you with your problem.

From the checks I have done, I see that this particular unit you have is not in the listing of approved machines that will support the upgrade to Windows 10, so we will not provide the drivers for Windows 10 for this model.

But based on the issues with the update BIOS driver & touchpad driver, you do have the option to download and install the driver for the previous operating system that was installed on the unit to see if that will resolve the issue.

So apparently my (now) 7 year old Intel i5 mid-range HP is "approved" while my 5 year(now) old Intel i7 top-o-line ROG Asus is not! WTF?! Funny thing is my machine IS approved by Windows both via the Windows auto-detect as well as the list of approved machines on the Windows page. Oh well....
(I should add that the driver links only worked when I reverted to the no longer supported Windows 7 which was what I was trying not to do!)
Yeah; they lost any future purchases from me and I am sharing my experience with anyone I can. Too bad too; the machine was good, they just need to get their support act together.

So there it is. For what it's worth... :soapbox:

I am going back to sit in the corner at Whiskey's Corner. :D:D:D

My head is "going crazy".....thinking of things that I have to do, before we go away......and.....what I need to bring with us, devices/batteries that need to be charged, etc. etc. . Shit!......No wonder why I can't sleep :facepalm:.....:teehee:.

I hear ya. I had a small backpack filled with all the gear I thought I would need when we went to visit my mom a few months ago. I carried everything to re-coil and re-wick the RTA's and a charger with all the batteries I had, plus about 240ml of juice. I never ran across anything I needed that I didn't have.

Hey Mark. Yup.....I'm making mental notes, and writing things to bring right now. Juice, batts, charger, mods, extra coils, an extra tank, couple of replacement glass (cuz' my wife is accident prone:rolleyes:). I think that covers it :eek:.

I think extra glass for my tanks was about the only thing I didn't bring, but I had 6 mods and tanks with me, so I figured the chances of more than one breaking was pretty slim. As it turned out the only things I really needed was juice, batteries, and the charger, but I've always said its better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it!

Oh look, bad tooth pain afain after ive already had two pulled. On the other side. And me without any god damn ibuprofen.... or money.... or dental insurence.... or fuck anything i could use to help. Why is it that whenever no matter who or whats going on, when shit happens, it seems to be without fail the absolutely worst timing for thaf shitty thing to happen?

Morning everyone ! Leaving for the airport now. Another banner day with the kid. He left another place and I have no idea where he is. I did sleep last night. Every time this happens I get better at realizing how powerless I am over this crap. Anyway talk to ya later.
