If you are going to do the work yourself get a new cover, there are systems to repair plastic, but they are only band aids, like I said only a comprehensive claim, like a car door ding, me I'd make a claim, your paying a premium every month, right?

Start by taking it by your dealers body shop, get a estatement, make the claim, set it up so the body shop gets it ready without your car and set a time to bring it by to remove the damaged and install the new, that way it won't tie the car up very long.

I'm using the argument that I had no idea I was under a suspension. the moment I was aware of it, I made efforts to rectify the situation. I surrendered my pa license to the news York dmv on 5/4/15 more then satisfying there suspention date.
