Morning Whiskey, Pete, Kevin, DosWhiteWolves, BlancoSoxFan and Breazy :coffee::wave:
Had to hell ride up to Tampa yesterday morning at 5am, to avoid snowbird traffic (10 under in the left lane:rolleyes:), to meet up with a truck forum member for some unwanted parts exchange. Thankfully experience trumped the snow and ice fiasco going on.:teehee:

<--- also having my 1st anniversary of residency. :confetti: . I have a hell of a lot more posts here, then I ever did on ECF or Vapers Forum.
To bad your not near miami. (del Ferro? i think) or we could meet up

I'm surprised that matters, given your computer knowledge and online tracking disdain. I had you pegged as having a dedicated entertainment home theater PC server running Plex and Kodi, unless you loaded the Ghostery ap onto your tv.:D

Buon Natale

Yes, the TV's been granted Superuser privileges, thanks to an Android friend who knows smart TVs inside and out; Ghostery is installed, Chrome is gone... and my VPN setup (through my kick@$$ antivirus account, under another nome-dè-plume - all you need is a fake ID, and money orders) are working nicely... the TV is warranty-registered under ANOTHER nome-dè-plume at Best Buy, and Sony.

Amazingly, there isn't a working camera on this one (thank you, Android pals) - and, since our Comcast/Xfinity account is under another (since a family member here is a Tier II employee of Comcast) nome-dè-plume - PRIVACY is assured. Netflix is all we use, now - but everything done assures us of privacy.

It's the only way to live free, today...

With love;

LW & Liz

"Ah, @LOveWerks and @Liz Wonder - those two are NOT Corner People! They only show up when they want, use proxy servers, change phone numbers... they're not P.C. at all!"

Hi, @Whiskey; and all of you posting on this glorious, snowy Sunday (here, anyway). We'll be dealing with snow, sleet, and freezing black ice through MLK day tomorrow. Have bags of Ice Melt - will travel...

I thought, "These people in CO can handle driving in the snow, for sure!"

Boy, was I wrong. When you hear sirens where we live, it isn't for DV or robberies during snow days - it's for sliding cars...

First off, I believe it's a generational thing. "We have antilock brakes, anti-skid control, even collision-avoidance braking... we can drive in anything!"

No, you cannot.

Techno-Nanny automobiles will skid and slide, too. In my opinion, learn how to drive a vehicle with a manual transmission :giggle:...

Make sure your car or truck has rear wheel drive, all-wheel-drive, or old-school four-wheel-drive. When you rear end breaks traction, and veers to the right - steer in that direction to get straight. Same thing goes with front wheel drive, though with less steer, and a little judiciously-applied help from the emergency brake.

If you drive a vehicle with an automatic transmission, start off with your gear lever in the "2" position; never put it in 'neutral,' and proceed slowly.

If your car can parallel park by itself, you're doomed - snow, or no... :teehee:

We love you :D -

I feel on the driveway(ice) this afternoon, right on my bad knee, had 2 dogs on leashes at the time....I REALLY screwed the knee up this time, it needs a replacement now maybe sooner than later, we'll see what the xrays say....LOL
I really hope you don't have to get that done! :(
A friend of mine went through it, took him six months to fully recover.
