Just saw this years first Christmas Ad. It's starting already.
Yeah I've seen a few commercials already. I'd make a Christmas list but as fast as stuff comes out they'll be something cooler by then anyway. Sad tho how early they get every yr for a holiday that's really supposed to be about family and togetherness anyway not buying gifts and putting up a light show, although some of those are kinda cool.

Was down at the casino sitting at the bar when this drop-dead gorgeous blonde sat down beside me and asked if she could give me only 3 wishes what would I wish for?. Looking into those deep blue eyes I sorta choked up, (she was beautiful) but after careful thought I said my first wish would be for good health, ...my second wish would be for money and the things money could buy,.. and my third wish would be for good relationships, starting with God and ending with you..
I must've impressed her because
she bought me a couple more drinks and gave me her phone number...
Honesty has always worked for me. .it certainly did here. . just thought I'd share it...lol

@conanthewarrior, many of us here have had bad pasts with drugs and alcohol.

I'm one of them.

If you're just buying new
mods (box mods, tanks, et cetera), and you enjoy vaping - as opposed to smoking cigarettes - while, you are otherwise drug and alcohol-free... then -

Good for you. You are succeeding in your recovery, and that's something that should bring you gratitude - and, serenity.

A little earlier, many of my posts were so morose that some of the members shared their stories with me, and gave me support. I, too - had drug and alcohol problems, in my past. However, I'm now drug-free for nearly eight years, and alcohol-free for nearly seven.

My wife-to-be, @Liz Wonder - is approaching her thirteenth year of sobriety. In 1987, I was a heavy **** user that fractured my skull, and nearly took my life. My parents, then alive, took control of everything in my life, and through their intervention, which started me into intensive
rehab and therapy, I've not touched **** in twenty-eight years.

In your present time, stay clean and sober, and work your steps, traditions, and seek serenity. Your self-deprecating remarks motivated me to reach out to you, and offer encouragement.

Life's too short, to sweat every detail. I write this for you with love, and respect. I've just received news that will further improve my life, and the WEIGHT is finally off of my shoulders. Be well, @conanthewarrior - live one day at a time, and reach out to others to help them.

Like many people here at 'the Corner' have done, for me. :)

@LOveWerks and @Liz Wonder (we're getting married soon ;))
Agree do not sweat the petty things, but pet the sweaty things.

Well, I've done it to myself, this time...

I decided that since the dogs had been brushed
outside for the last three nights, and the dog
dander had reached
levels indoors, that were affecting my eyes, and
sinuses - to the point
that my eyes became
red-rimmed, and getting
stuck shut from the
secretions, while I slept...

..after getting peaceful,
with Carole King and
James Taylor, it was
time...

...to whip out the steam
floor cleaner, some
bleach, and take care of
the kitchen, bathroom,
and utility room floors.

Clean. Oh, yeah, as I
had swept the floors -
me and my cane, with
beaucoups of resolve
within myself

So, I then broke out the Shark vacuum. I can't feel from my knees down, due to spinal nerve damage, radiculopathy and good old, regular diabetic neuropathy... something started to not feel right, even after taking some Aleve.

Yet, I continued. What an idiot.

So, I used the Shark vacuum, like I desctibed - then, my entire lower right flank started really hurting... bad.

I went to the bathroom, and yes - I passed a rather large kidney stone. Dammit. Blood in my urine, the whole bit...

Yet, I needed to finish my vacuum job. So, I did. The filter in that Shark cleaned the air nicely.

So, I went to sit down - and felt a 'pop' in the thoracic area of my back. So, I loosened my pants, and sat back.

Now, I can hardly move. I'm going to ride this out - I checked my BGC, and it's fine - but if this doesn't improve, it's ambulance time. Mow the lawn? How?

I finally get some good news... now, this. The timing is just amazing.

Man, this hurts. I'm going to call Liz... maybe try to take a catnap. Wish me luck.

LW & Liz (I wish she was here) :-(

Sorry you had to go through passing kidney stone I did that here awhile back. Hope you get to felling better soon. Healing thoughts and prayers coming your way.

At 11 am, I'm getting a phone call related to the good news I received on the 18th.

So, I won't stay long - just long enough to let @pete67, @Whiskey, @Breazy_Com, @Kevin H., and @boriqua75 (Hola, chica!) this proven fact:

It is Monday (sigh). Mondays tend to behave like Dyson vacuum cleaners (they SUCK).

Murphy's Law tends to occur on days like today... work that was left unfinished last week, will be back to haunt you.

However, @Liz Wonder and I wish to pass this message to the people specified, and anyone else who posts here:

You're alive. On the Earthly plane of existence. At least, it's the devil you know (Yosemite Sam: "Brackin'-Frackin' Mondays!); so, keep positive, because tomorrow will be only TUESDAY...

We love you. :)
