I am an animal lover too. I worked as an animal trainer at Sea World (Discovery Cove) for awhile. That isn't that popular now after the movie Blackfish. In the town where I live there is a pretty nice little zoo too.

It was. I was there for 6 years. Then I started getting pretty sick and the doctors couldn't figure out why. It was a very physical job so they thought maybe it was just too much. That wasn't the case but I had to leave. I trained a lot of birds too. It is a neat park. We had people come in the water and do dolphin interactions. Guest also fed the birds and swum with stingrays.

Sounds wonderful, I have a friend that trains and raises parrots, I may get one from her one of these days, she deals in rescues as well.

Yeah you could maybe try it for a short time and introduce the bird slowly. I had a siberian husky but she saw the bird as a baby and watched it grow. She ignored the bird for the most part. She was 13 and passed. My mom's yorkie doesn't pay it to much attention. I have had people bring there dogs over and they just fixated on the bird. Maybe over time it would have stopped stressing out but I think they wanted bird for dinner.

Yes, she suggested bird sitting a couple days with it at my house to see how it would adjust, longer and longer visits each time, I thought that sounded like a great idea, we are moving late summer I will be doing that after the move so things are settled in first,

A quick hello here. I've had the worst experience trying to find a new harness for my cat. He outgrew his last one. I found one and it was a walk in. Little did I know cats don't walk in to any thing. I bought one this afternoon hoping it will work. If this one doesn't work I'll have to order online and take a chance.

I...I've never heard of that. I wouldn't think a cat would do that. Though...I guess I've seen people walk coons, ferrets and my sister used to walk her pig so...ok. I just wouldn't think a cat would cooperate. But I guess it's a good way to get it outside and not letting it get run over or in trouble.

Shocking percentage of "founding members" who have voluntarily "moved on" because of the nonsense. What is intriguing is that this tells that the founding philosophy has drastically changed. What will be telling is, those were the people that won the awards for VU. I guess as long as there is a steady influx of newbies...there is no real reason to take care of the veterans.
