Hard to believe that it's mostly in the 30's and 40's down in Florida right now:D......Except Miami and Key West @ 50*F and 58*F. Gonna be a REALLY COLD one this coming weekend:eek:, here in CT.

Thank you for your empathy.

Morning to all.
I'm feeling hydration is more important than caffeine at the moment, so doing Gatorade this morning.

I had read earlier about someone who'd lost a kitten; well, Liz and I have a story to share:

We have a neighbor that we've talked about before - he's kind of pervy, and that may be the reason why his marriage fell apart; he'd told Liz that his separated wife was "...running the roads, and dating a (insert racial expletive here) guy...,"

Worse, is this guy's history with dogs. He let them run loose, and only one of them lived for almost three years!

He recently (last year) got a female Doberman Pinscher. She recently became ill, and we warned him that we were going to call Animal Control if he let her health decline. We did, three weeks ago, and the Animal Control officer dropped of a trap when we weren't home.

One week later, they took the trap from us, due to a dog bite. Meanwhile, the poor Dobie had her uterus hanging out, bleeding, with a larger-than-baseball-sized tumor, and our neighbor did nothing about the dog's plight.

So, Liz - got really p*****, and called Animal Control, and once again - they dropped off a trap. We baited it with wet and dry food. She came over yesterday, and we finally caught her in the trap, and covered it with a thick electric blanket to keep her warm, in the wet cold. The poor thing was bleeding, and we called Animal Control again to pick her up in the cage,

They said thar they would come tomorrow.

Liz got really upset, and said "No. Today!"

They finally did, and we're devastated. Here's what we saw,

LW & Liz

Liz and I have talked about the possibility of filing charges of animal cruelty against this poor excuse of a human being; however, where we live in the rural South, we've got neighbors who keep hunting dogs in chainlink cages in the cold,, starving them before hunting season starts, a neighbor who turns her horse loose, when she runs out of grazing pasture...

Colorado is beginning to look like Utopia. Isn't there hunters who track their game, rather than do like the Brits in history, fox hunting with dogs?

Isn't there people like ourselves, who keep their dogs fenced in, shots current, and well-loved?

We're so confused.

LW & Liz ;)

Mine goes out to go to the bathroom "On a Leash" and is inside the rest of the time. Up to date on shots and happy as can be. People who mistreat animals should have the same done to them.

I'm here,lol
Rather chilly start this morning at 60° here in the Southland
But forecasted for a high of 80° this afternoon... It hit 91° yesterday due to the hot Santa Ana winds blowing in off the desert..whew, summer in February, lol
But last night the wind shifted and is now blowing in off the Pacific...a bit more comfortable, lol
