First off, good morning @Saddletramp1200, @Kevin H., @twizt3dfuc, and @joshua lIes.

twizt, when you write FT, are you referring to FastTech, the world's slowest, non-authentic distributor of vapor-related wares?

China Post to USPS in the Western US; then, to NC, USA - eleven - twelve days.

Singapore Post through the same route: 18-20 days.

I know we're all trying to save a buck, but getting knock-off Horizon Products made of pot metal including RBA, and RDA atties aren't good for your lungs, and
your general well-being.

One man (and, lady's) opinion. FastTech's ticket system (if you have the app in your smartphone) is tedious at best...

It is, by design, a way to make getting return merchandise authorizations a PITA. We ate the cost of a defective iStick 50W, due to their new two-week rule about returning merch to their FL location on 66th St. in Miami/Dade.

Then, they shut down their 800 US support telephone number at Cloud Commerce Systems. Nice.

I'm done ranting. Once bitten, twice shy. Good morning once again, to all Cornerites. We love you guys, and gals.

FastTech... SlowTech... @$$Tech... (shudder)

LW & Liz ;)
Good morning. My Mileage varies. Every FT order I have ever made is not important enough for me to sweat the delivery date. They have never disappointed me because I don't really care. I order Motorcycle parts I got to have & ship them Air Freight. The customer likes it, or walks, (their choice)

I use SlowTech for mostly the small, non-essential things.....drip tips, silicone sleeves, replacement glass for the tanks, etc. It's all stuff that's REALLY overpriced if purchased from most U.S. vendors. Hell, I'm not going to purchase a couple of cheap silicone sleeves from a company here and then have to pay $5.00 to have them shipped to me, because I didn't spend the required $50-$100 just to get free shipping. It's not every order that I can hit that $$$ mark, and I don't have the money to spend that much all the time. They are a good option for stuff that CAN wait, and I'm NOT in a hurry for.

When you think about it, it's pretty cool. One tiny package from 1/2 way around the world gets to your hands for almost nothing. It took up to six weeks for a letter to go from one coast to the other by horse back. & it cost almost $5.00 in todays money. I can wait. ;)

Normally I would agree with you, but I bought the RDA simply for the top cap, decided to try it out and wow. I'm super impressed. I don't care if it came from mars, its a cheap, good performing little package... Not to mention years in car stereo competition and marketing I learned that most of the things from over seas are what we have here without the mark up. I remember tracking down build houses to order 4,000 watt amp boards from for $300-$350 and them retailing $800 US.
After getting in with the Korean companies I could call them up and get any board in a case for 1/3 cost of what it was here in the US.
I posted the video in the review section so thank y'all for the suggestion, I saw that section but my video isn't really a review, more of a show and tell of sorts.

@twizt3dfuc, I do agree about what you wrote. I'm just a guy who is a stainless steel freak, who isn't an RDA guy like you are. However -

My fiancée and I weren't buying small atties, and merch like that. I can understand the savings in ordering any kind of musical gear, mixing boards, et cetera overseas, for the price break - as I was a certified Yamaha Pro Audio technician and sound/recording engineer (a member of AES, too), working for a small Pro Audio outfit that did a little research when it came down to wholesalers and distributors, overseas - it had to do with what we called the 'Peavey Killers', in the form of Behringer, et al. Peavey, in true pro audio, is junk. Behringer, for our concern, was the answer (German-engineered pro audio components, made in China - following the ISO-9660 compliance). I'm also a musician :).

You can ask many VU members, even in this forum - who had experiences like we had with FastTech, over their customer service. Their ticket system basically enables them to make you wait, until it's the end of warranty - then, we were forced to ship a defective product Next Day Air to Cloud Commerce Systems (their 'guise' in the USA). Throw in the now-defunct USA support 800 number. The list goes on... and on... now, if you don't have the Return Merchandise Authorization, and have it shipped to their address on 66th Street in Miami/Dade Florida within two weeks - you're screwed.

They apologized for our having to ship Next Day Air, by giving us a $15 USD in-store credit. We paid a helluva lot more than that, in shipping charges.

Believe me - we didn't mind the wait, either - when it came down to our very first EVOD tanks (after suffering through the EGO-T phase); then, our first sub ohm tanks from Kangertech (after getting ripped off by a local retailer), and Kamry 20W box mods. My fiancee and I have been vape people for four years. There are many here more knowledgeable than we are.

Like you wrote, the 'little' stuff is purely cool. However, when the purchases become more expensive, and the products that they ship arrive defective; or, with the wrong power supplies - we just got really angry. You'd submit your ticket through the FastTech app in your smartphone. They'd write back "Please be patience. We need to get photo and video of the defective item."

We gave 'em video, all right. On my fiancee's promotional YouTube page of my music. They didn't like that, at all...

The fact that they even asked for video, and pictures - not just of the defective products, but of our credit card - it was beyond belief.

I agree with you, @twizt3dfuc, about what you buy over there. However, there is still a language barrier, and I've learned something about the Republic of China from a dear friend of mine, who is an English professor in Xilinhot Province, R.O.C. They're playing the waiting game. We - the USA - are in their 'sights'. I'm not racist against any culture, creed, or ethnicity. I'm liberal in my politics, as well (in the old-school manner).

Yet, the New World Order is what it is... and, the wheels are turning. We Americans have become so greedy, that we have to get the BEST DEAL on what we buy; the BEST RETURN on our investment portfolios; in other words, we are coming to a point in time where we don't care about customer service - just 'give me the best deal, and let me get Instant Gratification.' Let's 'cash in', and sell our US corporate shares to a foreign interest.

Give me a Cuba Libre in one hand, and a *** in the other. I've got dispensable income, and, whee!

We're going to miss out, on many things - if we're not careful.

I'm sorry about the long-winded post, once again... to all of the Corner Folk. :)

@LOveWerks and @Liz Wonder :):):):)
Never apologize for long winded replies. I like to talk to people who can explain exactly their train of thought behind the replies they give. Its a lot better than simple. You are right about the unfortunate sides of over seas purchases. Its a gamble that I will rarely take when the amount of numbers increase over 10's, unless I'm 100% sure the seller is gonna take absolute care of me.

Ditto - from Liz and I, @Whiskey. The Schnauzers are adorable. I had a friend who had a miniature schnauzer that would HOWL - whenever I sang and played at the piano, or guitar. The dog, named Nietzsche, was a true pal. Your home looks lovely, Whis...
