The RX200 has reverse batt protection.. I put a batt in backwards by mistake one time..No sparks, no venting batteries, didn't get hot..the tip-off was the mod wouldn't turn on..simply put the batts in properly and presto! Works fine..oh well, my little sister has weird things happen to her stuff too..
And you know it's not a clone how....as I stated the real hex ohm splatter addition is only done in limited runs. I know this because I have a hard on for hex ohms and they are cloned a lot. U can get it on fast tech for $35

The reverse polarity protection on the rx200 is pretty much a fuse that when batteries inserted incorrectly ruins the chip but doesn't let the batteries completely vent. So your rx is probably fried. I've watched a few videos on the polarity protection on the rx. hence why it's a 40 dollar mod. But just be greatfull you did it with a 40 dollar mod and not a 200 dollar one.

puttiNg the battieres back in after rotating them to give it a little extra life before i got to bed, and the one bsttery arced to the rear bottom terminal. The arcing fried the insulator and then the battery started venting so i quickly threw it out the window.

I would take up your issue with Wismec.. if possible. It should have protection against anything like that & seems like a problem with the device.. Unless your battery shell was fubar and shorted on something.
The only RDAs that I have left are my Origen V2 and In'Ax Mk2 (I have not touched either in over six months)
