Murder House. Asylum. Coven. Freak Show. Hotel. And... we still don't know yet? The theme of American Horror Story: Season 6 is being kept under wraps, and FX isn't going to be giving away the secret any time soon.
FX CEO John Landgraf explained the thinking behind the big AHS mystery during his executive session at the 2016 summer TV Critics' Association press tour, saying he and Ryan Murphy decided it might be fun to mix things up a bit six seasons into the anthology series' run.
"Every year we've basically laid out the themes and we've laid out the new genre Ryan would be approaching, and we just thought it would be fun to keep it a mystery, so we are," he said. The AHS team went so far as to have everything blacked out on scripts coming in that might give away the big reveal.
