the problem is shipping out of the country. last time i was talking to someone in Canada on a trade and looked up a shipping quote and it was 20+ bucks to ship
damnit i got a friend who was willing to send the crius to me.. ordered 10.. doesnt accept paypal.. so i created a pre-paid credit card.. trying to pay.. blocked because the billing adres is not the same as the cardholder.. so i change the billing addy.. still not working.. now im out 50 euro prepaid money for the creditcard and stock dwindled down to 6.. no crius for me..

my dna 133 box shines on TC mode, now that I played with the software a bit. I still have a ton of learning to do but it is just as good, possibly better than the fsk chip. The only reason fsk beats it is no software needed. oh, and fsk can TC kanthal, dna cannot.

Welcome to VU- I forgot to say that before! I don't want to derail this thread from the topic of DNA mods, but the OP also asked about eliquids and tanks too. Yes the US FDA is trying to do the same, that is why it is so important to ask questions and share ideas with the forum so we are prepared for what may lie ahead.
Maybe you could start another thread, and I will follow.
The FSK chip is what Hohmtech uses in the 171 watt dual 18650 Hohm Wrecker G2 and the 101 watt single 26650 Hohm Slice.

the fsk board in the two big boxes, wrecker, wrecker g2 and Slice. there fairly cheap on Vaporcube.com they have been running super sales, uncertain if there still having the cheap deals tho. If you mainly use A1 and want to try TC I highly highly recommend a wrecker g2, or slice.
If you just got sucked into the world of TC then surely you will get the best experience. If you are using VW the answer is nothing. A huge waste of money I have 4 that sit idol the right bribe may even actually on the last day of the year make me give them away and Im not joking.. The original intent was great the idea of Escribe is very cool for tinker types like myself but the truth if much simpler all Vape devices are nothing more than DC to DC converters nothing more nothing less some of it is a bit of hype as well I know one thing I wish I had all that cash I wasted
It's not a waste of money to get a DNA chip for VW. Many of my staples, staggertons and SSFCs come out to 0.06 ohm prefire. It's hard to get up to 0.1 if the mod won't fire it.

Because HCigar makes crap one of the 133s has been RMAd 3 times and the other 2 times. One is still broken every time I get it back. Actually it has new disabilities each time.

I got my reg box mod almost 2 years ago, so my opinion was based on what was going on at that time.
At the time I decided to get one there was either DNA or Yihi to chose from for me. I think there were other chip sets but consensus at the time was that they were very "iffy"
There was also a lot, (so it seemed) boxes catching on fire, etc during the charging, or for no reasons at all.
I looked and read and asked about the differences, but didnt think that with my style of vaping that I needed bells and whistles.
For me the deciding factor, was the reverse battery protection. I KNOW that if I had one , just worrying about not placing it backwards would make me do it sooner or later. I cant see paying that much money and being able to so easily fry it.
Ive had my Kainos by MMV with a simple 60watt YIHI chip for almost 2 years and its never failed me.
If you would benefit from any of the bells and whistles , why not. If you dont need TC or other functions, go simple, less to go wrong.
Mine never goes up higher than 12.5 watts.
I also have a Provari P3 Stealth which has been good to me. I think it has too many functions, and having to scroll about, but Im the odd one.
Like someone else posted look for what you need in functions, find one that you like using as far as looks. How much you want to pay for "its looks" ; wood, plastic, steel, etc is all up to you. Just make sure you buy from a modder that offers to take care of the warranty themselves, since they put it together. I heard a lot of stories about how most modders send you to the Evolv site to look into the chip problems, and then who replaces it?
Some replace it, but make you get the chip and then who pays for all the shipping and inconvenience?
MMV has an amazing reputation and stands behind their customers even though they are in Greece. They dont make you feel like you the customer is always in the wrong.
Do your homework and find out about the modders "aftercare"

What? Not charging. If you fire down to 3.6v both cells are the same voltage. I checked with a DMM. My 213 batteries had a 0.1v difference.The alien has balanced charging as well

DJLsb did the test on the alien it charges balanced. Firing down should leave them close but not always. That's why u need balanced charging

Also the 213 is a poor device by most standards. Wouldn't use it as a barometer for every non dna device

I don't use the charger in the mod. The 133 had a 0.01v difference, 213 0.1v difference, 150tc 0.06v and G2 was 0.03v iirc. I know the order is right but I did this when I got the G2 and still had one working 133 and 213. I may be off by 0.01v here or there. The 213 and 133 are the ones I remember.
This was done firing 80w on the same atty over and over.
Not super scientific I know but I was just doing it to see where my mods ranked. The FSK fires max power for a brief moment so it's hard to compare them this way.
The DNA batteries don't need to be rotated at all. I wish I had some triples to compare.
I use a Nitecore D4 for external charging. When I load up my paired sets (both 2 and 3 battery sets) from a DNA mod, they are usually the same or rarely at most a 0.01V difference with one. The Alien seems about the same. I do see some variability from my RX200s. Needless to say, I do not use the in mod charging in the RX200s or other non-DNA mods. No G2 for comparison, but I believe the quality reports about the box. I would expect the same from YiHi.
Even my cheapo istick handles internal charging fairly well by Daniel's standards in his review of it. May not be the same as the alien though since the alien runs in series and the istick runs in parallel.
I certainly don't think dna mods are bad, outside of a few issues (what hasn't had issues) they're still premium chips. Part of it may be a matter of the competition catching up. At one time they had features others didn't and now not so much. Fsk is catching up as are others. Not saying others have surpassed the dna but I think they've certainly narrowed the gap.
Similar has happened in other industries, being a bit of a computer nerd. For example Noctua used to be (and still is) a premium company known for their fans and coolers. They were the gold standard and while priced high were the pinnacle of comparison for similar hardware. These days there's quite a bit of competition from several companies who make top tier fans and coolers on par and even exceeding them at times. It doesn't make them poor quality but they're no longer sitting alone at the top. It just took awhile for others to polish their product and now the difference isn't as great anymore.
In the end it's good news if vapors are left with a lot of good options and competition is pushing quality and features up.

Yeah, not to sure about FSK catching up. When the Evolv chip can do kanthal in TC they'll have caught up to Hohmtech. Myself, and quite a few other respected members here are of the opinion that the FSK board is the best TC board out there right now. TC's anything, fires anything, and the G2 is built like a brick. Yihi and Evolv can fight for 2nd place as far as I'm concerned. Again, opinions vary and this is just mine.

Lol, Yeah well I like to try them all. I won't pigeon hole myself to just one board. Life's just too short for that. As far as them being ugly, I'll take fuction over form everyday of the week. Do I like my mods to be pretty? Sure, but I won't sacrifice performance for looks. Resale value? I buy mods to vape not to resell. Let's not advance this myth of DNA quality. I have 4 VT133'S, 2 of them had the boards fail. Not a great record in my book. Customer Service? 31 days from the day I opened a ticket till the time I get my mod is not great customer service in my book. Just sayin.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the daughter board there for reverse polarity Protection since evolv didn't include it in the dna200. That's kinda a big deal to not include in an expensive top of the line board IMO. And yes I have a vt133 lol love it but still
