Control+Zed stops processes. Could see I'm averaging abut 100 ms. We too have a broadband connection. My computer is behind three firewalls. I run two different active core antivirus & root kit counter attack software. Software up to date for a Linux OS.

Not that anyone would guess my root pass phrase. I kept it simple. "I am Root, the 1 god of all." If you believe that's my root pass phrase I've a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you too. ;) :)

Ruppy is like the guy u meet behind the bar man....just don't. ;-)

Hay, if I boot up a copy of O/SWarp 4 am I l33t? Because I can. :p

Most solid OS I ever ran other than Free-BSD. Hacker bro of mine got me into BSD, already knew RedHat, Debian, etc.

Then I learned, it's all the same shit. Except m$.

I worked for Microsoft as a CSR in the 90s for the Win98SE launch....yeah I was promised eventual MCSE and $50k+ pay, did not happen. All 500+ of us were fired when they went Win2k.....which was just a clever WinNT5...actually a good OS, I ran it a long time AND gamed on it. Win2k, was difficult, but solid. And it could be secured. No Windows O/S since can be, not really.

Typing this on a Windows 7 Ultimate b0x, yeah I know the risks. It's locked down. Not retail.
I also know guys who work in the DoD and a few Romanian hackers. I'm not afraid.
I'm olde skool. From the days of Phozen Crew, DaVinci. New Order, and QSS. =)

The Internet did not start in 1995....apologies to Sir Tim. I had a Gopherspace site long before the WWW was born.

HA! Hell yeah! Glad you can get it going. I kept crashing Risc trying to boot it by way of Mutics.

Hehe, why? Why not? "It's there."

Yep, all the same basic stuff except for M$oft. Each flavor might have slight differences in names but if you remember awk, sed, cal, vi, grep you're good to go. :)

'85 to '94 or so, huh? :) I too know some DoD contractor types. Even had a lover who is the "rock star" that goes round training folks up on Dbase. He keeps trying to sneak in on me the last decade. Not ever got to me & yes he's made serious efforts. My root pass phrase drives him sane. *chuckles*
