It had been rumored as a possibility for a few months, but at the TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour today, NBC officially announced that Will & Grace is returning with a brand new season.
The entire original cast -- Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally -- are back, as are Will and Grace creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan will act as showrunners and executive producers. James Burrows, who directed every episode of the show during its initial eight-year run, is back as director and executive producer as well. The new season will consist of nine episodes and run sometime during the 2017-2018 TV season.
