I bet they grow some damn good chile down in Cruses...I like the chile grown down south around Demming,Lordsburg, Hatch...I like the chile from around there better than the stuff grown in the north....I think the heat and dry really helps.I've grown chile up here in Oakland...it was good, but......
Im convinced it has something to do with the dirt in southern new mexico. noo place has chile's that taste the same as there.

Now live in ABQ But was born and raised in Truth or Consequences until the Navy took me away.

Everyone knows the best chile comes from Derry and Arrey Just south of Hatch. Hatch was just a glory hound and Convinced everyone that they were the best.

It really was not that bad back then. Even tho as a young lad could not wait to get away from there. And See the wide wide world. Funny part tho was when I was going through Boot camp and would tell my fellow recruits that I was from New Mexico. And Some of them would ask how I was allowed to join US Navy Being that I came from another Country. Doh! :headbang:

@wllmc — Thanks for sharing your recipe. I have a bottle steeping minus the Red Wine since I did not have it. Can’t wait to try it!

@wllmc Can’t wait to try it!

Since I mixed mine 15 days ago, I don't have to.:)

Mine though is not the same as published. I do not have FA Red Wine and used .4% FLV Sangria. I also do not own any FA Orange and substituted FA Royal Orange. In the finished mix, it's really tough to find any orange flavor notes.

In Squonk's fine Mexican Sugar Cookie recipe .75% of FA Anise is called for. That flavor amount was too dominant for me and the 1.75% called for in this recipe would be far more than I seem to recall in my favorite childhood Christmas time cookie. To be sure, purely in the cause of vape science, I trundled off to the store and purchased the updated version of....

I'm glad I did. While the 1.75% Anise called for in this recipe may be correct for wllmc's cookie, it would be overkill for mine. I used .5% of the Anise and it was perfect for me and the correct matching flavor intensity level. Thankfully, it only took me 4 boxes of cookies to verify that.

The underlying base flavors to showcase the slightly dominant Anise were completely balanced to match my childhood cookie. (It only took me sampling 2 more boxes to determine that :)) Delicious. Cookie was the predominant base player with the others mere supporting players.

Unfortunately, I only made 10 mls and there is no possibility any of that will be around for a 21 day aging/sampling. I'll be making more tonight!

Thanks wllmc!

@RonJS — I am approaching a one week steep. I do have Jamaican Rum and didn’t think to add this. I never vaped any premix eiquid that had anise however since I have been DIYing, I have made a couple of Hic’s recipes that has anise in it and I do like it so no idea what my aversion to anise was in the past. I have been mixing 10ml bottles for new flavors other than Biscochitos I mixed 20mls.

There are a couple of other wllmc recipes that I want to mix but missing too many flavors so placed an order today.

Mixed as list, steeped 15 days. I really like it. The red wine is great in this. I was wondering how flv sangria would taste
Im sure sangria would be ok and worth trying out :) the Mama Js store version had red wine but its a recipe that can easily be adapted to taste :)

Vaping Biscochito’s with my morning coffee. OMGeeeee – what a great eliquid. I did not have the red wine or sangria and did not want to place an order just for one flavor so this was left out. What am I missing taste wise by leaving the wine out? Thanks @wllmc for this keeper recipe.

For me, the red wine sat perfectly balanced in the mix. It did not over power. I was surprised how much I like it. My red wine bottle is a 3ml sample I purchased 2/27/15. It appears to have good storage life.

the mix just doesn't taste like my mom's biscochitos.....FA just hasn't really come up with a flavoring for "burned"....

If your Mom used a wood burning stove, an addition of some FA Black Fire to the recipe might be just what you need to renew those fond memories.

Suffering intense agony and emotional despair, I was able to hold off vaping my last remaining 3 mls of this recipe mixed around 11/21. Until today. :)

Now, a month old, the FA Cookie seems to have faded a tiny bit but the mix continues to provide not only a smooth very pleasurable vape but tons of Christmas joy.
My second batch will have aged enough to be ready tomorrow. :bingo:

actually at one point my mom did use a wood burning stove.....but my memories of her cooking was hardly fond....she would have made a great cook on a viking longboat.....ironic though......her mother was one of the best cooks I've ever come across in my entire life.

Ashamed to say I only got around to my bottle of this, mixed early December 2017, three days ago. Mixed as posted by @wllmc.

Have never tasted the real cookie, but the juice is fantastic. The Anise is not overpowering at all, just perfectly balanced. Evokes a real cookie vibe for me.
