Worried about Safety, have questions. Help

So I have a Smok T-Priv
Just opened it and charged the batteries for it. It is brand new right.

I have two VTC5As from Sony in it. 25A
Heard they were very much recommended for subohming.
Fully charged them at 4.2V.

Now I prime my coils which is the Baby Q2 rated at 0.4 Ohms.

I fill the tank with juice and screw the atomizer onto the mod and I turn it on. So first it keeps erroring messaging me saying low ohms and it's giving me a ridiculous reading of 0.006 ohms ? So it wouldn't fire and I was told to loosen it which I did and it was very wobbly but finally read the correct ohms at .4
So then I vaped it an it was fine, nice clouds and taste.
I go to take another hit and it lights up and says don't abuse product? I'm very confused and worried its defected. I remove batteries and turn it back on , same thing. This time the coil buzzed and a little spark came out of it. Eventually after playing with it for awhile I was able to fully screw it in and it reads the right ohms all the time and is consistently working no issues just the occasional do not abuse sign comes on after chain vaping. Does this mean it's just in its brand new stage to where it has to warm up and be used for it to work properly like when buying a new car ? Breaking in the engine ?

Also when I hold the fire button I can watch the volts rise the longer I hold it. A large inhale I get around 3.5 second vape time and the volts goes up to 5-6 or more if I keep
Holding it... is that safe? Not sure how the volt readings are supposed to be with these specifications. Just want to vape safe because of all the crazy stories of exploding mods. Batteries have not gotten warm and the tank is lukewarm at 65 watts. So seems normal. Any advice ?

I want to be adding my TFV12 Coils which are 0.12 ohms soon and I don't want problems with that either. Thanks...

Is you mod mechnical or electronic?.
If the later you have next to nothing to worry about. .. mod won't work under most unsafe conditipns......... if a mech check builds using steam-engine.org.
