I wouldnt recommend a dark horse for a beginner either. The airflow ring is ALWAYS wet. Its like a liquid filled piece of swiss cheese, after you poke holes in foil and wrap it around. Its actually tough to build on since the inside diameter of the cap is reduced, because of the ring and thick metal.
Id also recommend a subtank or some other type of coil based atty. Then maybe an internal battery, regulated device like an istick 50.
For the money youll save on rebuilding supplies, batteries, charger, and ohm checker, a subtank and istick is a good bet to get started.
