I've narrowed my options. This is the 4 I'm down to. I need to get some answers soon as I need to order by midnight to take advantage of some 20% off deals. Cuboid is almost throwing me off as I'm going to be running a tfv4 on whichever I get and with the quad coil I can't go above 100watts due to the limiter. All the others are more than capable of the tfv4 with the rx200 and the s model being probably the most capable with 3 batteries. Only down fall to the rx is I only have a 2 Bay charger and will not bwork buying a 4 Bay any time soon so charging the batteries will not be fun lol. R200 from smok has mixed reviews but seems like it will do what I want. Ipv5 has a good chip from what I've read. What do you guys think?

I have the IPV5 and the RX200. Both are great, get used daily and perform well. At one point the RX200 was my go everywhere mod; it still is but regulated to the car. It's got power and battery life to spare, all the options you need (though I mainly use mine in wattage) and is durable as all get out. The IPV5 shares a lot of the same attributes as the RX but fits better in the pocket. It's efficient when it comes to battery life, does TC very well (I only use it in SS) and is over all well made. If I had to choose one, it would be the RX. To me the RX is like a Mossberg 500, something that everyone should own. If you don't already know, a mossberg 500 is a affordable, durable, high capacity shotgun that always works. So yeah, get the RX... and a mossberg 500.

Edit to add... I missed the part about the 4 bay charger. If you are not planning on buying 4 bay then maybe the RX isn't the best choice. Although I know a few people who charge their RX over the usb with no issues, its not the best course. I will say, whether or not you get the RX, a four bay charger is well worth the $20-$30 you'll spend on it.

- Wrecker g2 if you want an awesome chip and ultra low resistance and don't care about the bulky, boxy, ugly formfactor

- IPV5 second best chip and a solid 510 (better than that of the RX200s) it is taller than all the rest but lighter, no frequent updates are provided, could come with a glitch, and looks ugly IMO

- RX200S great battery life and ergonomics, smaller and shorter than the two above (but much heavier than the IPV5 almost twice as heavy), good software, frequent updates, should get a 250W update soon, looks great, the only downside is the short 510 which could be a problem with the TFV4 and could require a 510 extender/heatsink or a washer/spacer to work properly.

- Cuboid is a meh, i would stay away the three choices on the top are better in every respect.

- SMOK R200 totally stay away from that crap, software is fucked, can only do 80W in TC, no updates to fix the issue, resistance reading is inaccurate and TC operation is inconsistent.

Your choices should be Wrecker G2 if you want the most advanced chip and low resistance, IPV5 if you want a light well performing mod with a great 510, R200S if you want the most compact shortest device with the best battery life and can live with with its 510

Cuboid and SMOK R200 are out of the picture.

Also you can use a charging strategy with the 2 bay charger you have if you end up going with the RX200, charge the batteries inside the mod daily with USB, they will charge well but will get slightly out of balance with time, then you charge them fully in the external charger once every couple weeks or so to bring them back into perfect balance and then continue charging them in the mod again, this way they will always stay balanced without the hassle of charging them outside the mod daily.

or get a 6 bay down the line and get them all , speaking of the g2 , rx mostly :D got both and with a small leaning curve the g2 is a good all rounder just might need spare batterys to get thru the day.

I use a cuboid and rx200 daily and love them both, Cuboid is my carry around mod because it is more pocketable with enough battery life to last the day plus some. The RX200 feels so much better in the hand with more power than i'll ever use.

Go with the g2. I don't have one but everyone is always talking about how hard they hit and how awesome they are. There just not the best looking mod IMO. You can't go wrong with it. I have a rx200s and I love it. It's a little on the heavy side with 3 batterys. Even the ipv5 is a kick mod. You really can't go wrong with any of them. But if I had a choice.... the G2!!

If the G2 is too fugly for you then you could always pre order a Hohm Slice. The Cloudy Vapor has them for $55.99 but I don't know if the code is still active. Code jointhefray.

the Hohm Wrecker G2
They arent the best looking mod but it is certainly the best performing mod out there IMO. There isnt a mod with the same feel when drawing, the same execution of firing the coils and the features it has....The looks arent amazing but they will grow on you over time and you wont find yourself even thinking of its looks after owning it....you can ask about 30 peopel on the forum Ive gotten to pick one up..not one of them regrets it and 99% of them think its the best mod out since getting it.

You wont ever want or need another Regulated mod after getting one...

And crazy Durable!
True, my 7 year old knocked mine off the the kitchen table onto a hard wood chair and then onto a tile floor. Not one scratch and she fired right up. The whole sequence happened in slow motion for me. Lol. This things built like a brick shit house.

The r200 is really that bad? And what do you mean it only does 80 watts in tc, does the watts even matter as long as it hits the desired temperature that's what tc is for

Yes the firmware is that bad, it is an incomplete firmware taken directly from the R80 without any tweaking, it does not even have a triple or quad coils support option, and when you put it on max power in TC it only gives a max 80W pre-heat which is a problem, what if your setup requires 100-150W ramp up to reach its desired temp fast without having a delay or gurgle before getting there? The R200 will not let you do that because its software is incomplete and does not fully support 200W in TC, also its resistance reading is always off, and TC is inaccurate, it is the worst performing by far out of all your choices, simply put it is garbage.

The RX200 and Cuboid like builds around .2-.3 out of TC anything lower then that results in wattage being limited

You sure this applies to the RX200 with latest firmware update? I think it does not have a 25A limit anymore, unlike the Cuboid which still has it.

That's interesting. What builds would take more to ramp up?

Im not sure, it still said .1 limit in wattage mode...the restriction for wattage may be removed but thats still a big one for me....

Any heavy double, triple or quads could need that depending on your mode and if you like to have an initial punch before TC protects. I 50% of the time use 100W+ with my dual SS to have an instant punch and well vaporized liquid (not a wet vape), i can not go into exact details now coz am typing on mobile but you sure could use 100W+ as ramp up in TC which gives great experience and even enhances the flavor a lot

Just wondering, you stated you have a 2 bay charger. Would you mind saying what make / model ? Your not talking about a budget 2 bay charger such as in the photo below by chance are you ? If so, you may be doing yourself a great service to pick up a better charger anyway. My other hobbies have caused me to do a great deal of testing various lithium based cells and chargers. Those as below that I have picked up do not do a very good job of charging both cells evenly "balance charging" which is the target for a multi battery mod. If you would be talking about such a charger, it is not much more to step up to a quality 4 bay charger over a 2.

I would suggest getting a Efest Luc6...I won 2 of them and they are great to have and they are pretty cheap. You can charge up to 2A for cells at a time. I charge 4 cells @ 1A....

Ditto. I have the same charger and I love it. Bluetooth saves my fat ass from having to climb the steps to check my batteries.

Ok so the r200... I just don't like it. It has atrocious button rattle and just feels cheap. It seems to work fine in wattage and it seems ok in tc. I'm back on the hunt for a different mod. Trying to decide. Things I don't like about the remaining are:

Cuboid: not a big fan of the 25a limit
Rx200: have to get more batteries and it will be a hassle to charge them
Ipv5: wish it read lower than .15 in wattage mode just in case of some really low ohm builds
G2: bulky ugly device (doesn't really matter) but definitely the most expensive by a long shot

G2 is really not that expensive anymore. Theses guys have every color for under $80.

The mod is a beast. If the form factor bothers you then the Hohm Slice should be coming out this week.

No I haven't but a few people here have with no issues. Ecigs deal is tough to beat. I have the silver and love it. I believe they are an authorized vendor.

The G2 would be my first choice but I have seen IPV5's in the $35 range and at that price it is hard to pass up. If you want to do TC then spend the extra for the G2, you won't regret it. If you're just looking to run in power mode then the IPV5 would be just fine, it does do TC, just not as well as the G2.

I use my G2 and IPV5 everyday but if I had to pick one it would be the G2, if price was a concern I would get the IPV5 with no regrets. I also have the RX200S, very nice mod but I would not pick it over the other 2. The only mod I have that gets as much or more use than the G2 or IPV5 is the Vapor Flask Stout as it's compact form and all day battery life from a 26650 make it the perfect mod to take on the road. The Stout doesn't hit as hard as the other 2 but it is no slouch either.

I agree my favorite 4 mods right now are G2, Ipv5, Vt133, VF Classic in that order. They are the 4 I reach for the most everyday. I have a hard time deciding between the ipv and vt so I'd put them at a tie. Now, that might change once my Slice arrives. I certainly hope so.

It is a little smaller, maybe a few mm less but seems like more because of the curved edges. It is definitely more comfortable to hold than the G2 and better looking as well IMO.

Totally different animal size and feel wise. My favorite DNA by far. Love being able to swap out my batteries. At $80 something dollars at ecig.com it's a steal. I have 2 of them. One I use the other is in the box for Vapocalypse. Yes, I am a hoarder. Lol.

After reading about it a DNA board for me just seems like too much work. I like somewhat simplicity. I don't want to have to go online and change a bunch of stuff to get my vape the way I want. That's my opinion though. Definitely great devices though
