Sure, it's amusing to see Brock act all aloof and Brock-y. We know he's a distant, prickly a-hole suffering from what's probably a severe and crippling social anxiety disorder that prevents him from bonding with anything other than the wide open spaces of Minnesota isolation, so to pretend that he's something else would be dishonest. I get that.
And yes, it's dumb for the WWE to pretend like there's actually any viable, breathing history between Brock and Randy Orton. This upcoming SummerSlam bout is nowhere close to being a "15 years in the making" event. They trained together, but then the relationship was nothing but a flat can of Sierra Mist from there on out. So to make this match feel like something other than a random pairing of grapplers with no current storyline or feud is a strange stretch.
