WTB: GG Ithaka Update Kit

Hello,

New here, and looking for an oldie but goodie (to me) GG Ithaka Update Kit. This is the kit that allows a regular resistance wire build to be used in the old-school Ithaka, and eliminates the need for non-resistance wire.

If anyone has one to part with for a reasonable price please message me. I have PayPal ready. I would like to deal within the U.S.A. if possible.

Thanks! Never know what someone may have lurking in a drawer somewhere. I've been vaping since 2010, and still have / use gear from GG, GP Paps / VapourArt, Madz Modz, Atmizoo, etc... I have a couple of Ithaka's, and would like to get away from using my wire welder since I missed out on the upgrade kit many moons ago.. Never did care for the 'ready-wires' that were around..

EDIT: From what I gather, parts from a GG Tilemahos (original or V2, not 'Armed') would work, so if anyone has the clones of those to sell, I'd be interested. They are impossible to find in China these days. All I see still around are clones of the 'Armed'. There is a listing here for a Tilemahos V2 clone, but the pics show the 'Armed' version. The V2 just had a poly tank with no metal cover over it...

I keep my old gear around for vapable collector items more or less, and most still suit my MTL preference. I would rather go for an update kit since I did grab one of the 'Armed' clones awhile back before I realized that the parts wouldn't be compatible with the Ithaka. I went ahead and built the clone, and am not wild about how much space there is before air gets to the coil.. If I can't find the OG kit, the clones (Tilemahos original & V2) will be fine for parts if I can even find them.

Now, if yours were a 23mm to match-up with my GGTS / Just GG's, I may have overlooked the airflow just for the looks...

Thanks, but the 'Armed' version parts won't work. I would need clones of either the Tilemahos original or V2 that do not have the metal cover over the poly tank.. They no longer seem to be in-stock anywhere.

Damn...and I thought vaping gennys made me a dinasour...but an Ithaka...looks like there's still a few of us cavemen around...

I use more current stuff too, like the KF Prime, EH Pro True, VapeFly Galaxies, Ammit, various squonkers / RDAs, etc.. But for good, flavorful, MTL vaping, it's hard to beat a Rose V2, GP Heron V1.5, GG iAtty, Ithaka, etc..IMO. I collected a lot of gear over the past 9 years, and most of it is still used and enjoyed.

If I can't land one of the Ithaka update kits or the clones I'm looking for, I'll just go on zapping R / NR wires together. I may not even like using the update kit or clone parts to convert my Ithakas since I think a lot of the flavor comes from the ceramic cup used in the OG version, which will be gone when updated. I would just like to try it out to see if I do like it to get away from the time spent in zapping wires..

Never did get a good zapper, and the one I built sure seems to prefer vaporizing metal ;-P

I use this relic of the past to zap wires.. I was too lazy to take pics, and had to use all of my Google-Fu to even find a pic of one still around. Makes me feel old for sure. I do remember that it was difficult to get and expensive at the time. I guess it was worth it, given that I still use it at least 3-4 times a month these days, and keeps working well:

Yep, same reason I still vape gennys, I just haven't found anything that will deliver as good a flavor as they do...and I've tried alot of stuff to try and replace them.

Something I can relate to. I still use my ody with a kayfun kit in it. Still use the og odysseus too.
