Yeah, you can't go too wrong with a ~$30 setup to try it out. But I would add that if you enjoy dripping, you will love squonking so depending on your fun bucks fund, maybe bump the entrance fee up a bit. If you have not vaped a dripper and know you like that, I guess test the water with a ~$30 kit.
What I get out of squonking after 2 weeks is... yeah, just as much flavor as dripping. Easier obviously, just squeeze instead of grabbing a bottle and dripping. More convenient because you don't have to pocket a bottle of juice. Less leak prone than just about every tank ever made since you just vape the wick somewhat dry (easier with temp control) and stick it in your pocket or bag.
Biggest benefit is that you don't have an over saturated coil on the first hit or two because you just dripped juice directly on top of the coil that wants to spit up into your mouth.
