Lol! I've owned both. The 217 is a great mod, but the build quality and ease of use of the Spade mech makes it my favorite by far. There's definitely some voltage drop with the VA's 510 set-up when compared to the SQ but with a slightly lower ohm build it's not noticeable.

Both are winners and have their own strengths.
