@Bigrick I am just now recovering from my fifth or sixth bout of MRSA in the past six years. Fortunately I am in a line of work wherein it is possible for me to work from home, so I did not lose my income. You have my most sincere sympathy, though; it is an extremely painful, scary, and unpleasant thing to go through.
One thing that many people do not know - it is a good idea to add Borax to your laundry. Borax helps kill MRSA on washable textiles. Other substances that can kill MRSA are alcohol, Lysol spray, chlorine bleach, and Listerine. It is good to buy toothpaste that contains triclosan if you can find it. Hibiclens is helpful about once or twice a week as a near-final step in your shower, and it helps to make that an ongoing thing even after you are healed from this round.
The most valuable thing you can do for yourself, though, is to take good care, and eat in a healthy way to build your immune system up. Probiotics help, as does good sleep and even taking vitamins. It is when the immune system is compromised that MRSA will make us sick again.
I send you all good wishes for a speedy recovery. I also thank you for taking responsibility to keep the infection contained even though it has made for a tough situation for you.
