Publisher Deep Silver announced yesterday that developer Yager was no longer working on Dead Island 2.
Originally, Deep Silver's statement simply said they were "dedicated to delivering the sequel that Dead Island fans deserve," but offered no other reason why they removed Yager from the project.
Speaking with GamesIndustry, Yager managing director Timo Ullman explained the departure was a mutual agreement due to differences of opinion, likely due to the fact that the studio operates on being an independent AAA studio.
