Honestly, most reviewers don't tell me anything I couldn't figure out for myself. They do however allow me to gain some familiarity with a product without buying it. Daniel and Busardo are the exceptions, but Busardo's vape style is not very close to mine and he reviews a lot of products I would never consider buying.
What's funny is that sometimes reviewers will report the diametric opposite of one another. One says this or that is not easy to build and or wick, and another says it is. One says flavor is ok, another says it's awesome etc.
Many times there is consensus, but many times not too. It does bother me when somebody reviews a piece from a category they clearly are not that familiar with. Or worse, they'll review something they clearly haven't taken sufficient time with to warrant the review. They'll slip up and say something that gives it away. Somebody was complaining recently that a mod (can't remember now) didn't have manual TCR and even I knew that it did. You just had to know where to find it.
When I see unanimity like there was for the Hugsvape Lotus, it sold me. Every last review, video OR written, to a man, proclaimed it an incredible flavor beast. I figure when all these guys can agree, there must be something to it. Especially with a no name upstart company that they have nothing to gain or lose by just saying what they find.
