Using the same tank (OBS Engine) and same settings I compare the performance between G2 and Slice, somehow I didn't get the same level of satisfaction with slice. Is this something I should expect?

Nope should be the same. Love that Slice. It's by far my most used mod. Make sure you're using a quality 26650 battery.

Are they both running the latest firmware?

I know I can get better performance running my G2 with a high power tank like the TFV8 over the Slice. The slice will still power the tank well, the G2 is just on another level. A pair of quality 18650's will beat a quality single 26650 everytime when your pushing them.

Nope should be the same. Love that Slice. It's by far my most used mod. Make sure you're using a quality 26650 battery.

In the tank I'm using pair of Fused Clapton coil, 2x26G / 38G all SS316L. Both G2 and Slice were set to TC SS mode at 100W.
In G2 I can feel instant power & heat while in Slice there seems to be a delay 2 - 3 seconds before I can get good vape but not as good as in G2.
Both were using a new fresh charged battery. Will fw update can solve this issue? THanks.

Fw update helps for sure but at that wattage a single battery mod isn't gonna hit as hard as a dual. The single battery will struggle for sure. Also the g2 has a built in 171 watt preheat where the slice has a 101 watt preheat so that makes a difference too. Remember a dual mod has 8.4volts of battery at full charge where a single battery mod has 4.2 volts available.

I do run my slice though with dual fused claptons as well without a problem but if u do like u or 8 wraps the single battery will struggle. 4-5 wraps works fine

Aaah I see.. so preheat and available voltage between two that make the differences. I got 6 wraps of dual fused claptons, will try to try less wrap next time since I like the form factor of this mod. Thanks.

you can use a 18650 in the slice.
I also have the hohmtech 26650s and they just don't hit hard like a Samsung 25r! the batteries are great in a 26650 DD Flashlight. I feel like my Slice purchase was a 5 day wow, before getting the wrecker G2.

I use an 18650 in my Slice all the time with an adapter. Just don't go over 75 watts to be safe.

Edit: Ihave the AS limited edition with the postless deck, normal AS and AS lite and the Cloudnus is no slouch next to all of them.

question on the cloudnus. does it not handle bid coils lol. 3mm coils are touching the inside was trying to build it last night and couldn't get a decent flavor out of it. i'm gonna go back and try regular coils as it seems the fancier ones are too much for it.

For whatever reason it looks like HT products are definitely on a downward trend price wise. I think in a a short amount of time $30 Slices will be the norm. Definitely an awesome buy for an awesome board at that price point.

The easiest way for me with Kanthal is to put into XXX mode which by default starts at 3.2% FSK. This is a good starting point, if it is too hot turn FSK down, not hot enough turn it up.

To get to XXX mode hit the mode button 3 times, then hit the mode button 3 times again, this is the way you cycle through the different modes. Choose XXX which is the all wire mode. There is a Kanthal mode but I have not messed with it much, before the last update XXX mode was the prefered mode for most Hohm mod users.

Set your temp and watts to were you would normally and if your a power user and not familiar with TC then go ahead and set your temp to 450F and your power were you normally would. The key with the Hohm mods is the FSK %, this is what will set your vape. To get to the FSK% press and hold the Mode button and the +/- button at the same time. If you are in XXX mode it will say "Advanced Insanity Menu" followed by "FSK Temp Curve", hit the fire button and adjust FSK from there.

I was a 90% power mode user before I first got a Hohm Tech mod, now I use TC 100% of the time on my Hohm Mods and my other mods are usually power. The power mode is also great on the Hohm mods, I think you will really like it.

SS is great. Even in watt mode but a lot of devices don't handle it well cause the low TCR. It's night and day on a slice
