Well Hank, I'm not trying to bust your bubble...but my doc "temporarily" put me on 20mg lisinopril for BP 2 years ago. Long story short, I had went to an oral surgeon for a tooth removal, and the BP was 200/110...they almost called an ambulance. Up until then, my BP was always normal-normal low. I've lost weight, quit smoking (well before then, but I digress), get more exercise, blah, blah, blah. The ole BP now stays right at 135/90 with the meds which is still a bit too high. Jumps up to 180/100 within 30 hours of stopping them. I guess that means I'm only temporarily taking them until I die, then I can stop
FWIW, my story isn't at all that uncommon. On the bright side, it's only once a day, the meds are fairly cheap and very common. I take them with my coffee every morning, and it's just no big deal.

That's the shit the doc gave me. SHIT!!!
20 mg lysinopril is what I got off of after I started vaping.
