Squidoode also did a "mirror polish" coil video. He only went up to 2,000 grit. Not even close to being a true mirror polish - just real shiny. I posted a pic a few months ago showing 2,000 grit vs. 12,000 grit side-by-side. There's absolutely no comparison - the 12,000 grit is by far a much more realistic mirror finish.

Nah - this is working good so far. I've been able to cut my time down from 2+ hours for one set to about an hour for 2 sets without affecting the quality of the coils.

Get it as soon as you can, if the sale ends Ill see what else can be done...it is the most advanced chipset to date and most people that have tried the dna200 will tell you they like the G2 more for its functionality...just check the G2 thread to see what people think of it..

Its 25mm but its tapered on the edge so it looks good for both 22mm and 24mm toppers. Not only is it powerful but I think it actually adds to my pictures..thats why I make sure its included in them and not some other mod or the RDA on a stand...the red and silver really help bring out the coils colors

22mm:

Nothing spectacular, but some of the new guys might appreciate this.

I've had this 0.8x0.1KA1 ribbon lying around for a while, so I figured I'd throw something together just for the helluvit. It's a nice warm flavorful vape @150 watts, and fits nicely in the Pharaoh on the G2
12 cores, framed with 23K (should have used 22), 42g N80 binding. Comes out to 0.09Ω

my questions may have been answered some way back somewhere in the 266 previous pages so apologies if it has,

1. dual spool technique on staggering (round wire and ribbon)?

2. enigma/hedgehog technique and gauge prep?

hopefully i can post my first picture after the guidance from all you wire wizards!

Heres the pic i saw. Made by @thecoilguygy, he says its ribbon claptoned on its edge (is that even real?) then alien wrapped around 2- 24ga. Idk how you clapton ribbon on its edge but that what it says. Its a pretty neat build i think. I definitely want to try it for myself one dayScreenshot_2017-01-12-17-11-46.png

TheCoilGuy has his method on Youtube...thats one of the easiest methods.

Yea Ive made quite a few of the Razorback builds...I just never posted them on instagram because of everyone else was doing it at the time...I havent done them in a while though.

I just looked through all my pics and just realized that I didnt take many pics of the razorback builds I did...Ill see if I can find some on the phone.

Thanks man have you got a link to this thread?
For #1 both squiddude and Twisted Messes have vids on YouTube on doing staggered and they use the two spool method. Squiddude's channel is called "The Art of Vaping".
thanks man! I've been trying to pull it off with 2 wire come off the spool as opposed to free hand. Think when trying to parallel Clapton ribbon freehand might prove to be tricky...I've seen builder do a loop meathod too...

How do you guys do your spacing when peeping staggers?

Easy Paraclapping...

Take 2 spools (or how many parallel wraps you want), they dont need to match or anything....Then get a Zip Lock bag for each spool. Throw a spool into each baggie and pull a foot of wire out then seal it halfway. Attach each to your drill and then get the wire side by side. Pinch the wire loosely, tight enough where they cant jump or twist but loose enough to feed without pulling your core wire downwards.....then just slam the drill trigger and follow it to the end. Then cut the wrap lead closest to the swivel close to the core and then clip the other lead so you can grab it....reverse the drill and pull the wire off at the same time

To enigma you need a wide staple. What ever frame you are using should be used as your decore wire and the width of the staple should be roughly your frame multiplied by 6. If you're using 28g frames those are 0.32mm and you have two of them so 0.32 x 6= 1.92, you have 2 frames which subtract from that so 1.92 - 0.64= 1.28mm. You need 12 or 13 ply to make the enigma.
To actually make it you do a typical decore on the 28g and understretch it.

The reason I haven't made one yet is because I don't have the amperage to push that.

Dual spool technique:

I'd watch the whole thing. Lots of good stuff in there.
There are much easier/cheaper ways of doing spaced clapton over round wire though

I should have known you had already made these before. I hadnt seen one til today and its a pretty cool spin on alien/tsukas. Ive been doing some research on new techniques to learn. I get tired of building the same thing all the time and you cant come up with new ideas until you learn all the existing ones. Since im in the process of getting ribbon to work ive been learning about tsukas and the razorback came up. So much stuff to learn!

I know exactly what you mean...lately Ive been trying to make builds no one else has tried...I seriously thought that there weren't many that havent been done but in the last 2 weeks Ive made almost 6 that havent ever been posted or done before...just be creative and juggle ideas around until you can clearly picture one and then go for it.
These builds havent been done before I made them

Dude ray those "builds thats never been done before" are freaking amazing man. Stuff you would think is not possible but a little patience and a lot of skill can do thag for you. Maybe a lot of patience too lol.

Heres my build for the night. I ran out of rdas and the builds i have in them are vaping just fine...if it aint broke right? So i tried something new in my kanger subtank rba base. Ive did 2 side by side coils in there and that was alright, but its super tight for room and the posts hold next to nothing. Heres a stacked dual coil 28g ni80, 2.5mm id, 6 wraps. Ohms out to .38 (changed to .26 after more firing and fiddling)
Nothing fancy but a bitch to fit in there with no shorts. Oh, i went ahead and ordered that cell phone macro lens ray and cant wait to get that puppy! Be here wednesday!0112172148a.jpg

Hey man i hate wasting wire cause im a broke ass builder so i never use the dual spool technique. Yes, its the cleanest way to do it and you get perfect spacing but...i take an rda (the recoil "flavor bro flavor" cap works the best) and run my spacing wire through it and twist together around the core wire. Start your clapton and set the spacing wire behind one of the wraps and then keep going. If you do it right it will perfectly space it all the way down. If its not perfect, when you fuse it will push things together pretty good. That works pretty good for me but im no pro. These guys will make you better though! 0110170030a.jpg 0104170040_HDR.jpg 1106162318a.jpgthese were all made using the "poor mans" stagger technique. I think its easy af

Thats how Ive been staggering lately (last month or so), before that I used the Spool Tamer method or Handspacing (eyeballing it)

So I just did a dual quad parallel 28g kanthal. I know I failed at the picture game I didn't take any but it's not bad I can tell the difference between this and triple core fused stainless though

Ooooo the eyeball method sounds like its a ton of fun lol. Ya do what ya gotta do! Thats shows how dedicated you are to learning this stuff. Its such a fun hobby to me and the best part is trying to find the best vape with the biggest clouds...and look good while doing it:tunez:

I got my macro lens in today! Im still messing around with it and playing with the phone settings but its already making a HUGE difference in my pics. I think everyone should have one of these if they like taking photos of tiny things. Im gonna try to use it on my old s4 cause it takes better pics than this stupid LG phone all day but the s4 needs a charge. IMG_20170113_203116.jpg IMG_20170113_203406.jpg IMG_20170113_202656.jpgim gonna pull some older builds out so i can mount the good ones. I guess my next hurdle will be lightning. Im always doing this stuff at night so i dont have the advantage of the sun but maybe i should make some time

Heres one that looks like it would be really good Heres the one ray linked me to and i bought it right away just make sure you get thr lens and not the clip by itself. The lens is like $12 or something. Then i seen this one that does even closer macro shots but cost a little more Dude i couldnt believe how much better it is. You can see every little fuck up in your build with perfect clarity! Lol

Well my wife has some really nice cameras. I am a cheap bastard, coupled with lazy bastard. I didn't want to take pictures put them on a computer and upload them because I mainly almost exclusively use my phone for all interwebs activity. But I guess that's what I'm gonna end up doing because it's better and the cheap side always wins over the lazy side.

Idk what i pushed but looks like it didnt work. Maybe it did and im a dumbass so here it is again Heres the $18 one Heres the one ray linked me to And heres another that looks to be good quality Maybe check for that brand from another seller if interested. That one may be shady

I hear that man im a cheap ass myself. Problem with being cheap sometimes is you get crappy crap...but i can assure you that the zomei one works pretty damn good! Im almost positive that decent lighting would make them even better.

I have learned my lesson on buying cheap crap, it's way to expensive. When you buy cheap crap it breaks or doesn't work right. You end up buying the more expensive one anyway. All it does is piss you off and empty your wallet.

Those are freakin nice. For having a skip stagger they look perfectly strait across. It kinda looks like a cord that you would plug into the wall to me. All it needs is a two prong connector at one end and your all set lol
