He said it was supposed to b "turkish" tobacco, or at least, the taste wasn't displeasing to him, as a Camel smoker.

Buglar has less than 5% turkish.

I really dunno, I never cared for that taste, too dry to me. If "Desert Ship" is a "grassy" (vegetative?) taste, that may not be what he's looking for.

Maybe I'll try the "Tab for Camel" and INW's Turkish.

I've never had that 1 I stopped playing around with tobacco e-liquids that weren't N.E.T. pretty early in my vaping journey.

I do have some DNB and also some Virginia Tobacco Absolute, so I can make it as "realistic" as could be reasonably expected from vapor.

What is DNB?

He's a big coffee fan, so I'm thinking he may find INW's Coffee Tobacco pretty tasty;

I've never had (INW's Coffee Tobacco) either.
Odd it seems I know more about real tobacco than I do about DYI E-Liquids.

to me, both the coffee and the tobacco taste in it seems fairly authentic.

I'll be a tester anytime you need 1.

He also likes those froufrou coffee drinks at Starbucks, so my "Smocha" mix may suit him well.

I always got a grassy flavor from Desert Ship. A drop or two of Guaruda TA always worked well with it.

Heh. not gonna try to go point by point, but... He's not wild about marlboro; he smoked them briefly, but he said the taste just kinda made him sick after a while, turned his stomach. (which didn't surprise me, marlboro always tasted icky-sweet to me -- I liked winstons, before I got on the Slims -- I liked bitter-tasting tobacco.) That's why he tried Camel, and stuck with them; they're not nearly as sweet as Marlboros.

DNB is Inawera's "Dirty Neutral Base". It has a WEIRD! smell, but I'm told it supports a really 'cigarette-ish' taste.

Inawera's Coffee Tobacco is available most places that have Inawera flavors; I mixed some up at one point just to sample the flavor; it's not sweet at all, which really didn't suit me at all, but those who liked black unsweetened coffee with a smoke would probably love it. I use a little of it in my Smocha mix -- the recipe for which is in my blog post, the link down below that says "My Best Recipes (blog post)". I was actually trying to clone Pipe Sauce's "Long Bottom Leaf"... it never did really taste like that, but it turned out ok in its own right. I really liked the taste of Long Bottom Leaf, but it was 95% VG, so it would have sent me to the hospital if i'd done more than taste it. Really glad I discovered what a problem VG caused me, before that actually happened!

It hits me as "rotten celery 6 months in the crisper." A lot of Virginia flavors taste like that, but thankfully, not all.

Just keep in mind a few things and you'll be ok with the blend.
The main tobacco in Filtered Camel's is Golden Virginia with some Turkish and a bit of Burley.

Unfiltered Camel's are Red Virginia and Turkish with a bit of Molasses.

Best Turkish Tobacco E-liquid is Gaia by Heather's Heavenly (IMHO).It comes close to being between Ramses and Turkish Special.

Went Tuesday to the cardiac rehab which is also pulmonary rehab and after a couple minutes on the tread mill become light headed and a bit nauseated. Today went to day 1 of actual rehab and after a couple minutes on this excersize bike started to become light headed again. They asked me if I could do a little more so said sure. Then my lips started tingling. Freaked them out and they had to call my cardiologist who of course wasnt there. They sent me home but still feeling weird. When it rains it pours.......................

At the time, when I was vaping Virginia, I always mixed in a little bit of 1) Pipe Sauce's Oak Barrel Cider, and 2) Cinnamon Redhot ejuice -- I used Killer Juice's, but I think they're out of biz now. So when I got into DIY, I just mixed in the same, with my Tobacco Express Virginia+TA+Bitter Wizard.

Tobacco Express is just the tobacco line from Flavor Express -- whether that's actually Hangsen or not, I dunno. (ETA: though I tend to doubt it -- Hangsen's and FA's Virginia has a STRONG "rotten celery" taste, to me, but TE Virginia does not -- however their "Golden Virginia" DOES!)

The thing that everyone says, about how vaping tobacco flavors really just tastes as cigarettes smell before they're lit... That was what gave me the hint about using some cinnamon-spiced apple cider; I used to sit and run my cigarettes under my nose sometimes for 5 minutes before lighting them, I loved that smell so much -- kinda almost sweet, but not quite, kinda almost bitter, but not quite... a really compelling scent, and it always kinda-sorta reminded me of how tobacco might smell if soaked in cider! And, the Virginia from MFS had *almost* a hint of cinnamon in it... very elusive, so I wanted to make it just a smidge stronger.

Now, if I was making that, I'd use TFA's Cinnamon Spice, or FA "Ceylon," since my tastebuds won't tolerate "redhot" anymore; since waking up from their coma, cinnemaldehyde now tastes like "burnt metal" to me.

Well hey, it's Friday.

Since I wasn't able to get to my mom's closet when we went to do housecleaning in January, we're going on Sunday to make a start on the clothes. I'm sure it will take more than one visit; she had a LOT of clothes. I'm pretty much on my own, with the clothes, though my husband will be helping, because my aunt said it's much too soon for her to be able to deal with it. I agree, it's sad, trying to figure out what to do with the personal effects of a loved one who's passed, but geez, it's gotta get done, and those clothes are doing nobody any good just hanging there in the closet. Y'all think 4 and a half months is too soon? I'm thinking it would be a mercy to my stepfather to, for instance, take the after-bath wrappers my mom would wear off the bathroom door, so it looks less like she's just away for a while. It may be painful for everyone involved, but I think it's better to make a start so that healing can start -- it's an acknowledgement that, painful as it is, this is a permanent change that we'd best get used to.

I wish I could expunge all the horrible dreadful memories of her, and just keep the nice ones. That's part of what makes this really complicated for me; I loved my mom, but I really didn't like her at all, or at least, not very often. And now she's gone and it won't ever get better.

Some of my earliest memories is being 4 or 5 and getting beat with a belt ever 10 minutes until my sis or me admitted doing wrong what ever my dad was mad at when he knew damn good and well who did it. I know this because I remember admitting to what I didnt do just to stop the beatings and him telling me he knew it wasnt me but continue beating me anyways until my sister confessed. I remember being put thru walls and having hammers thrown at my head when I was a kid. My dad been dead 25 years and despite the things that happened when I was a kid, I miss him and just dont dwell on the horrors but instead remember the good times. You will get there too Andria where the bad just doesnt matter anymore and things will get better for you. You will always miss your mom but it will be because of the happy memories, not the bad ones.

I've done a pretty fair job over the last 10 yrs of working thru my rage at how she raised me; currently I'm more pissed off by her total refusal to deal effectively with her diabetes, or deal with it AT ALL, leading inexorably to her rather premature death. I know, 50 or 100 yrs ago, living to the age of 75 would have been quite an accomplishment, but nowadays... not so much. Even people with serious problems like diabetes can live much longer, if they deal effectively and proactively with the needs imposed by whatever their illness is. People who totally and willfully ignore those needs... die.

That totally sucks. Denial is a hell of a boulder to try and move. My husband has extreme hypertension too, though he's been successfully medicated for about 7-8 yrs, keeping his BP very normal. But now, thx to discovering the www thru his phone, he's gotten enrolled in several fly-by-night email lists, and keeps forwarding me all this crap about how "normal" BP meds are deadly, that BP can be successfully treated with "natural" products.

I'm normally extremely in favor of natural, holistic methods, but I did a lot of research on hypertension and meds for it when he was first diagnosed, and I never came up with anything that seemed remotely promising, at least not for those with BP in the 200/100 range, as his was then. I'd love to support him in this, but I just can't see any good outcome of eschewing normal pharmaceutical hypertension treatment -- which seems to be working really well, with no noticeable side effects -- well, maybe the side effect that Viagra treats, but given that his wifey can't play that anymore, it doesn't seem like a huge issue to me.

Sounds like telling someone they have to quit smoking. You can tell them and tell them and it hits deaf ears because they already know. We all been in that boat before.

Well, I've put my husband on notice that he has to outlive me, because I cannot possibly live without him -- in fact I've told him that if he ever receives a terminal diagnosis, I'll kill myself rather than even try to live without him. He is my whole life, and without him, I would have no life. I won't even try, because it wouldn't be a life worth living.

I'm looking into a few things about hypertension; he's taking 2 pills, an ACE inhibitor and a beta blocker; I'm looking into natural ways he might get the same effect. He doesn't take his pills on the weekend, so that might be a place to start, using some natural remedies on those days, and maybe extending the days they're used rather than taking the pills. The only problem I can see ATM is that he's already eating a lot of the foods that are recommended -- fish, extra-virgin olive oil, whole grains... and he refuses to give up coca-cola, though he drinks decaf coffee and decaf tea.

Afternoon fugee's

Nice easy relaxing day today. My boy Rascal went with his mommy to her place last night which means I didnt have to get up at the crack of dawn, stumble outside with him and yell "leave those damn cats alone" before having coffee

I'm having the pure fun -- NOT!!! -- of cleaning out all the clothes from my closet that I haven't even looked at since we moved here in 2011, nevermind worn... since I'll be bringing a lot of really nice shirts from my mom's closet tomorrow. Goodwill will soon have their work cut out for them. Haven't even gotten to the pants, sleeveless tops, and shoes yet, but I have a screaming headache, probably from all the dust, so I'm taking a break while i wait for the ibuprofen to do its thing.
