Soooo... @Aspenvalleyvapes you think those of us who DIY are idiots and are going to hurt ourselves. And shocker of shocker we may have to use MATH??? I guess we shouldn't make our own coils either, because, wait for it, that takes MATH!
This is the most activity you have had on your vendor forum here on VU. I'm sure this is not the kind of activity you want to have. I don't know how you are going to fix your problem since you have lost the good will of a lot of folks. Anyway that's your problem, not mine. I've spent enough time on this, I need to go use MATH and make some coils and mix some ejuice...
Who and all that are responsible for this pile of shit hack job of an article need to be fired or at the very least demoted to a position of no responsibility (maybe scrubbing the shitters). That and you need to post in it's place a sincere apology for this hack job.I've actively promoted DIY numerous times and across multiple platforms including YouTube. I'm not happy with the post and we've taken internal action (you can see the posts date), but the goal was not fear mongering or anything along those lines.

So the picture of the guy with something Exploding is not what you might call Fear Mongering?I've actively promoted DIY numerous times and across multiple platforms including YouTube. Blown out of proportion? The post got blown way out proportion; as you may or may not know, we're always writing content to help out both new vapers and experienced vapers. If you look at the title of the post, it says MAY not be a good idea for beginner vapers to start making their own e-liquid. When people are interested in DIY, i've always directed them to /r/diy for some recipies.
Since we've been in this industry we've been huge vaping advocates. I can count on one hand how many companies flew out to Washington, D.C. to meet with the FDA & OMB back in Dec. of 15' prior to them finalizing the deeming regulations, and while we're not nearly one of the biggest companies, we still went out there to fight for this industry.

You really need to spend some money and hire a person who can communicate effectively.
And their pure hypocrisy as pointed out in the other threadThe article was very effective in communicating their anti-diy stance. It's not the messenger but the message.
From #3 on their 5 Reasons Why page: "While you would normally call up your vape shop and ask for a refund, in this case you are to blame for your low quality e-juice."
From their Terms and Conditions page: "No Warranty on E Juice Liquids.
Taste is subjective – no returns on e juice liquid."
Most places with an employee who wrote something that damaging to the business as a whole, would FIRE that employee, and DEFINITELY take down the offensive article, while posting effusive apologies about said article.

Yep this bullshit they spew out of their pie hole is like if McDonalds came out with an ad campaign with the dangers of cooking at home

'Before you decide that you want to make your own e-juices, you’ll need to come to terms with the fact that you’re going to waste more products than you’ll actually create when you’re starting off.'
I just started and I haven't found this to be true at all. In approx. 3 weeks I've wasted maybe $10 worth of liquids .. and that's probably a bit high. But I've also made approx. 200ml of good vapable juice. According to my Ejuice Calculator (which makes ALL that complex math SOOO easy) ... 200ml would cost me $12.14. Add in the $10 of wastage and that's $22.14. I'd bet that 200ml of juice from you would cost a fair bit more than $22.14. And the added bonus is like anything else as you learn the wastage decreases.
I'm sure I could go on but it's really getting tiresome trying to explain it. If you haven't figured out what all the negativity is towards your blog post then so be it. I'm sure you'll have time to reflect on it later on!
I wasted ONE HELL of a lot more money on crappy ejuice I ordered online and even some I had tasted locally, than ANY amount of wastage I've suffered of flavors, PG/VG, or nic.

This is actually the most absurd thing they said.
Raise your hand if you've ever bought a juice online or B&M and found you didn't like it when you got it home.
Yesh. Me too. I have a freaking bitchload of juice I'm never going to vape because "it sounded good."

Yeah, I have way more unvapable commercial juice here than I ever had that was DIY'ed."Before you decide that you want to make your own e-juices, you’ll need to come to terms with the fact that you’re going to waste more products than you’ll actually create when you’re starting off."

haha,, i must have watched 100 videos on mixing when i was still buying premade ejuice,, then i decided to try it,, ever so careful,,,,,,now its like 2 or 3 minutes for 1 6 flavor recipe (my adv for almost a year) and since i dont always use nic all of my recipes are 'safe' to bathe in lol. nic is added at point of use when desired.,,,,,,a little glass bottle with a labeled baby dropper to count drops or 1ml of nic. (and yes,, its 100mg nic and i dont give it a second thought other than shaking it real good and dont lose a drop.)
i decide to 'do something' with my left over c/j,, i piffed some,, but i dont know many vapors........so i started trying those old juices out again a couple of weeks ago,,,,,,,,,wow,, i was ordering strong stuff (double flavor shots etc)......but i found i am liking them if i treat them like a flavor,, i put 5 to 10% in my base (neat) and they are not badyep and yep - except I pif commercial juice pretty quickly if I don't care for it
Well done, sir.I had to write on the article comments, I thought this was beyond belief.
I said -
You have just essentially killed off your business if you leave this up.
It is complete rubbish as you know- mixing your own juice IS simple, and you DO just mix the ingredients to ‘magically’ make your own juice. It is simple, and you are making it sound like you need a degree, or that everyone else is too dumb to be able to do any math.
Due to this, I feel you should stop selling batteries- to use these safely, you need to calculate using maths. As your customers are not intelligent enough to do this, surely for their own safety you should stop selling them.
Thus the reason to call fucktards like this Stool Sample business out.In all honesty he's just waiting for this to blow over and it will.
Anywhere he sponsors or is a vendor isn't going to ban him as they want to keep taking his money.
His current customers won't leave him over this because if they like his juice they will buy his juice.
DIY vapers like me won't hurt his business because I wasn't buying from him in the first place.
Really all this has done is drive people to his site to see what is going on or to rant which raises his web prescence and possibly drives up the amount he is able to charge advertisers on his site.
Personally I think he is an ass but from a business perspective it was a calculated risk.
