This Venezuela thing confuses the hell out of me. Every indication is that Rubio was all in on it in advance & Bolton seems like he is up to his ass in it but from a military & logistical preparedness standpoint, the Trump Administration seemed to be taken completely by surprise by Guido's action. Eric Prince wouldn't have been talking about how he could mount an effort with 200-400 mercenaries to depose Maduro, he would have been off the coast in a landing craft loaded with APCs or in Brazil near the border with the equipment & his mercenary forces in place with the 2 aircraft carries already conducting exercises on station off the coast off the coast of V ready to supply air support. It just makes no sense that Trump ordered this action in Venezuela. While I'm sure they had it planned & it makes sense with the trainload of APCs we saw in Cali ready to load up in Alameda, it is like someone pulled the rip cord & put the plan in motion a month early for some reason. Militarily it makes no sense to move now. It would take 2 weeks to a month be ready to deploy a support force of Mercs. The only way to beat that time frame is to use MEUs & conventional forces, something Trump would shy away from I would hope.

It seems obvious to me there is a general lack of planning in the way this is going down in V as well. If this was an officially sanctioned op, Haspell would have had assets in place & Guido should have had significant forces organized & ready to turn well in advance with an assault plan to give Maduro a reason to run to Cuba. This is playing out more like the keystone cops. Certainly don't seem that that is the case here. Someone is forcing Trump's hand to put him in a very uncomfortable position here IMHO.

Venezuela's Guaido calls for 'largest march' in history

Venezuelans were expected to take to the streets for what opposition leader Juan Guaido pledged would be the 'largest march' in the country's history, a day after he called for the military to oust President Nicolas Maduro.
For a decade we have watched the Socialist goverments of Venezuela strip the people of Venezuelas constitutional rights away from them, we have watched Newspapers and the Universities shut down, we have watched Chavez and now Maduro's thuigs terrorize the people, we have watched peaceful demonstrations met with violence we have watched political dissenters thrown in prison, we have watched a prosperous nation turned into another Hati, starvation and desperation, for a decade...and as all this has gone on liberals have legitamized all of it....and yet I am supposed to believe that the caravans of scum of guatemala and honduras and Mexico are seeking sanctuary from their goverments....and liberals scream about the oppresion in Central America while they stay silent about what happened in Venezuela......you have to be a fool to believe the cock and bull story about central americans seeking refuge or that liberals care .....there are some brown people the Democrats don't want in America...the brown people who have suffered under Socialists like Cubans and Venezuelans.....the democrats are truly evil fucking people..

I traveled a bit in Venezuela...South Americans view Mexicans as the retarded cousins of Latin America...Venezuelans aren't Mexicans or Central Americans, they are more cosmopolitan, they are more ethnicly diverse more cultured more educated, they have or had a thriving middle class a history and pride in the ideas of self determination...now if there is some conspiracy for Russia or China or Hammas to take control over Venezuela, my question is how in the hell do they expect to keep control over the country when native born dictators can't accomplish it.....something stinks....I'll tell you Socialisim is like drugs...this "free shit" thing has the same outcome as street drugs it turns the poorest, least intelligent , and mentally at risk strata of society into animals, it destroys their humanity and aspirations and turns them into angry mobs hunting a fix...while their home burn down around their ears.

FDA clears Philip Morris’ iQOS, Altria plans to start selling heated tobacco device in the US this summer

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/04/30/fda...9umbYJdJvIVEHk3iE6rwxv7F_WQX59T6BUXLiUB1TTgmg

Looks like enough palms have been greased for the time.
Huh? The FDA dragged its feet on the for two years on this. I can understand there being questions about the MRTP application, but the PMTA that was filed at the same time should have been a shoe-in, and should have been approved within the six month time frame that's allowed by statute.

Will someone tell this f-ing asshole he isn't going to be allowed to rewrite the Constitution of the United States of America no matter what the pretense he tries to use.

Ron Paul Warns: "Hapless" Guaido Now "Worth More Dead Than Alive" To Washington's Venezuelan Coup-Creators

"...right now that he is actually now worth more dead than alive not only to the CIA...A shot in the crowd or something like that to take Guaido out...the CIA is pretty good at this kind of things."

This is where the conspiracy crap just get to be too much. Couple days ago they was claiming Guaido was a "Virginia" guy planted straight from the CIA farm and now they are claiming he is a target for the CIA. The conspiracy nut jobs need to make up their damn minds.

This is a case where the rhetoric of Congressman are used to generate a narrative. In this case I do consider it a plausible one, however the real problem is we are electing people who are licensed to lie to and mislead the American people without repercussion & that is the biggest problem we face. America is divided because we don't hold our leaders to a standard of ethics that prohibits and penalizes the act of knowingly spreading knowingly false information to the American people. Fix that and introduce disciplinary measures for ethics violations hearings judged by a jury of American people & not legislators & a lot of this division goes away overnight.

Years ago the system worked because there was a line they would not cross out of common decency. That is now gone & accountability needs to return.

Cannot frankly believe Kamala Harris got into it with Barr over Rosenstein serving to make a charging decision in the Mueller Probe when he was also a witness which is the very major ethics violation the Democrats were counting upon. Very strange that she sought to shed light on what was clearly the Democrat's plan from the beginning. You would think this would be the last thing she would do.
