sounds good to me, i like brass, you get much softer coloring than copper, although it does take a little longer than copper, and the blues are so much better, good call on the smpl, its my favorite mod

If some people are too busy to do the original set-up of box, I worry about the issues when they would actually receive box! Thanks Tav for setting it up this way, it kinda let's us know who will be respectful of the next person.

What do you do outside?
I work outside too, but luckily get use January and February for vacation. Texas winters are pretty short. But I would hate to have to go and work in freezing weather all the time. Stay warm.

Ya that would be cold! I use to have a 1962 Chris Craft back in the early 80's in Ship Bottom NJ. It was a lot of work to keep up, but was a lot of fun!
I work outside now in telecommunications, damn sometime it gets cold.

Love the quote. When I bought the boat it was dry docked, it took 2 years to restore, but after that lots of fun.

I have not read all of the comments as my head hurts. I am typing this with a fever of 102. I have been ill. In the hospital and out twice in the past week. Life happens folks. That said I have stuff to contribute and will when the time comes. If not that is your call. I have pneumonia at the moment. I am not going to force myself to make a trip out in the 10 degree weather to get to the post office. I don't have the energy.
If it was the actual box then yes I would go out to not hold it up. Since it is only the start up I am not going to do it. No one said that it was mandatory.

Just caught up on the conversation and wanted to add my 2cents in this matter ill try to keep it short
Its Simple guys this is a PIF box to help others it has been stated several times that if you dont have anything dont worry about that is what this is for to help the needy not to increase your already big collection of equipment its to give what you dont want with out expecting to get anything in return which is what im doing when i recieve it unless i see a NEED in the box
also the point of the contributions was so the first people would have a nice setup to choose from right off the back and i have seen most of what was sent in and i would say that is a very nice start and hopefully they will get a 2nd round to look through it again. Too many people are getting caught in the semantics of give me this give me that when it boils down to the donations the ones that havent donated could be waiting to get the box to add what they have. maybe they figure .... oh im 11th on the list thats atleast 2-3 months before i get anything so ill have time to collect stuff to add when i recieve it
as far as the ones not responding ive been active off and on not near as much as other but im watching to see how this plays out and i can tell you unless tagged in something or i make the effort to check i dont see half the things said here even with the notifications on so if someones needed remember to tag or PM them before sentencing them to death for not religiously following a thread
IMO you make deadlines you keep these deadlines (i understand the extention for holidays and agree with it) and keep everything running smooth
AND ONE FINAL POINT!... guys if we have this much disagreement over a few hiccups right here at the beginning this box is going to end up just like the rest ... a drama filled cluster f***...
TLDR: This is a PIF... Pay It Forward box which means help out the persons lower then you get something they need... This IS NOT a GFS... Get Free Shit box ... its about helping others so stop worring about if this one did this or that one did that or if they respond to this or that the only response we need is are they ready to recieve the box cause they are next

i agree with all of you, and i am at fault here as well, i should realise not to try to make everyone happy, and to just get on with the box, and your right, the whole PIF idea has kind of been forgotten here, and @Heather please feel better. i have had pnemonia in the past and know how much misery you are going through. in the spirit of the pif, we will move along. the point of this box is definatly to help eachother out, not bicker and banter and point the finger and play blame game for things. once again i apologize for how i may have acted, and i hope we can get on with a problem free box.
My whole thinking of the PIF still hasn't changed I know it's to help others not myself. I get that. I also get that deadlines are deadlines and I know stuff comes up. That's perfectly understandable. What myself and others were thinking (correct me if I'm wrong, I don't want to put words into others mouths) is if they can't communicate now, then will they later? @Heather you have a perfectly good excuse and I'm sorry you feel bad. Hope you feel better soon! Like I said, to me it's more a communication thing than about the not contributing.... most of those 5 or so that haven't contributed we haven't really heard from since the beginning. I hate drama but there will always be drama no matter what the decision is... never fails... it's just like world peace, virtually impossible...

a simple solution to this matter of weither or not they will answer now or in the future is simple .... yes a deadline is just that a DEAD LINE so as they may not be communicating now once we reach the send off deadline then thats when it needs to be sent .. no questions asked. and when it becomes their turn and they are asked if they are ready if they dont meet that deadline as well then they get skipped .... no can argue that they werent giving a fair chance by then and noone should feel bad or remorseful if they dont answer both times and are removed due to in activity of vital responses
all we can do now is contact people and if they dont respond in a timely manner and cant meet a deadline we move on ... better luck next time around

Thank you. It really does suck. One doctor (the pulmonary guy) blames vapeing, I don't buy that because it has been like 2 years and this is the first time I have been sick like this. The positive note is the medicine seems to be helping with the pain at least. The negative is I have never been this sick in my life.

Not everyone is capable of seeing fault in their own actions and most are quick to pass blame on to others. Taking responsibility square on the chin is the mark of a decent human being. I appreciate the honesty and forthrightness.
IMO the idea of the PIF box has not been lost. 'Paying It Forward' is a completely altruistic action, expecting nothing in return.
So therefore these 'pif boxes' are not truly pay it forward boxes. They are TYS boxes or 'Trade Yo Shit' boxes. At best it is the 'give a penny, take a penny' of vape gear. We are just a bunch of already fortunate people, passing along the fruits of our fortune, and maybe finding something more useful along the way.
I personally am very pleased to be in this group. I've read about other boxes and some drama related to doing them. I have enjoyed having great convos with some of the group. Some are pretty much in here everyday like a chat room. Some may like to just stalk the thread and not participate. Some may not come here til the box gets started or not at all. I'm glad the majority of the group are adults and can work out our difference in opinions. I think we will be a great group, everyone is excited to get started. I think it is faith time , we have to step out believing the good in ppl. I hope no one jacks this box, cuz I think there are ppl in this group that would be slightly more than upset(lol)...
That being said... Yes if they don't respond when it's their turn...skip/drop them. If they are interested in doing this, they will be active when it's their turn, if not move on... Heather I hope you will feel better soon. And if there is a good excuse for them not answering put them at the end. Like you said nothing is in stone. Sorry if I ruffled anybody's tail feathers...

hey all, for the record, i cant feel my feet. but before i get in a nice warm shower, i would like to say that im glad that everything is being worked out here, and everyone is being civil, there is no need for drama on here, i come the forum to get away from the daily drama that is my household. So, that being said, once i receive the last of the contributions that are in the mail as we speak, i will post up pictures of everything before it goes in the box, and it will be on its way to @Cruel-Phate were pretty damn close to blastoff here so lets not get ourselves all worked up for no reason anymore. stay warm everyone, its freaking cold

vapemai; came today...kayfun mini 2.1 for the wifes itazte vv she didnt want it immediatly cause its "too long" and heavy. i swore i would never use a kafun myself, so for shits and giggles, i threw in a 2.2ohm build, loaded it up with some cheshire cat from planet of the vapes, and set it at ten watts. quite frankly im impressed with the little bastard, i may keep it around for my NET pipe tobacco juices, im a lung hitter now, but ive been looking for a tank that would give me a decent mouth to lung like i used to do when i smoked the stinkies, just specifically for my NET juices. I have one AND ONLY ONE!! I was an only child and I turned out just fine. Luckily, my wife is cut and tied. No more kids, one is enough. Im simply not rich enough to support two, im barely able to support the one I have.
