Updates on the IPV4????

First impression: It feels good and it works as advertised. No anomalous aesthetics or mechanics. Vaped first 7ml tank completely dry (with much chain vaping and no dry hits) on 0.1 ohm nickel coil at 35 Joules and 420 degrees F.. The device's battery meter still showed about 3/4 of fully charged. I tested the batteries with a multimeter and both batteries (25 Rs) read exactly 3.67 volts. After shutting the system off, removing the Subtanktank, refilling it, re-mounting it and turning the device back on it remembered all the settings and worked perfectly. It's all good for me. Hope my black one works as well when it arrives.

They are both great devices. I think the Sxm is better then iPV4 Imo. The price of the Sxm is more then double the price of iPV4.
If you already have a Sxm I would just grab the iPV4 for now and get another Sxm down the road.

The only reason I am considering an IPv4 is so I don't have to take my sxmini to work. I work outside and am in and out of my truck all day, so I would like to be able to see the screen

The screen is no big deal it took me like 3 mins to fix. With nothing more then a Allen wrench, ruler, 2 pieces of scotch tape and a reg pencil eraser.

It does look rather nice.

They changed the design. It is crazy nice. Especially if you choose a textured material as they seal to the mod and feel like part of the box.

Myvaporstore has them in stock. I have one in my cart, just haven't pulled the trigger yet. Was even thinking of the new invader mini, but I don't like the fact it has no upgrade port.

Only thing that concerns me with IPv4 is the charging port and those little gaps on the corner below the 510 connection. Seems like an easy place for juice to get in

They suck in my opinion, the air holes are the previous gen version, and the juice channels are the smaller size. They would work for the next few weeks, but we need to be on the lookout of the next gen atlantis coils in nickel. Those coils are going to absolutely rock on a TC mod.

@Wooglin I have that same wrap on my Mini 2. Dark ebony metallic I think it's called. Don't know why they call it metallic. It's really nice looking, and the texture is nice, too. Looks good on the iPV4.

Got mine today from W&V. So far, I like it. No gaps under the 510 section. Nice tight fit. Also, just a tip, don't forget to set the joules. For my coil setup, 25 joules is about right. Factory setting is 50, and if you fire it and vape at 50, when it should be 25, you might not like the taste. Don't ask me how I know this.

All my buttons are clicky on mine, slight resistance then a click.

Thanks, my fire button takes hardly any pressure to activate. Just a faint click when I push it. Maybe it will get better with some use. Seems to fire fine, just no defined click like the adjustment buttons.

Provari p3 is just a tube mod to 20watts. It's built like a tank and has 3 tube sections. So you can make it small and use a 18350, medium and use 18490 or long and use 18650. Not a bad mod and provari used to be considered the best thing you could buy, but they haven't kept up with the times. P3 only came out in November and they built it as a 20watt and can use down to .7ohm, though they just upgraded firmware to .5ohm.

I only vape around 13-17watts, but since I got into temperature limiting, I haven't touched it

You can get the IPV 4 for around $70. Depends if you can really get $150 for the P3. I sold my Provari a long time ago, and I love my IPV 4 - so much so I just ordered an SX mini (Temp control is awesome!).

I use them all the time with 26g ni200
Normally im doing 11 wraps at 3mm diameter spaced.
Of you're using 28g I would do about the same, it should put you around 0.08-0.09 ohms.
I usually run them in a mako with a slam cap around 45-50j and 490 degrees

I just traded an unwanted mod for a beta p3, but more for resale value to the fanboys.
Since you're so close to a few shops I would see if they know anyone looking to pay cash. If not and you're not gonna use it, figure it as you're selling the p3 for 130$ which really isn't bad compared to your asking price.
70$ worth of mod plus 60$ cash. Hell I would do it
or try for 80$ cash if you get the update. Then you're sitting at your asking price.

Plus those of us, that have yet to receive their black IPV4, or even have any news or updates on whether or not, P4Y has even shipped or plans to ship any to SMOG Distr and his crew any time soon, need something to take our minds off of our misery concerning our failed group buy. Hell not all the people who ordered the silver from SMOG have gotten theirs yet.
