24g and 26 twist, both around 3mm post. The 24g came out to .32 and is in my plume veil 2.0. The twist came out to .49 and is in my Lancia.

PS The 2nd one was too cold for my mech, and was replaced by the 3rd one.

Two coils I've never tried before, and very happy with the results

28/32 or 26/30 Kanthal 1. At the moment the smallest I have is 32, so I think that's what I used.

Going to get some N80 in some smaller sizes, and some 0.5 ribbon on my next order.

Going to give a SFC a go tomorrow, there's 24 and 36 n80 waiting in my mailbox, sadly I'm working a graveyard shift tonight haha, any tips?

Yes! There is a trick I came across posted by @R4YB4D on Instagram.

Basically the premise is to use a small second piece of wire to space out your claptons perfectly instead of parallel claptoning and removing a wire to leave spaces. I found it extremely helpful and you don't waste wire that way.

Here's the link.

For the fuse, it's basically like a fused clapton, just using the gaps of the claptons as guides instead of the wire you're wrapping with.

Figure we should start a thread sharing our builds. I always like seeing new builds and getting inspiration for new ideas.

-post a photo of the build
-what wire is used
-what size are the wraps
-final ohm readings

My all day everyday setup. Dual 24g 5/6 wrap around a 3mm screwdriver metering at 0.27 ohm

Vybbgqs.jpg
I'm new at this so I'm wondering how I post one of my builds

I tried my first attempt at a helix, while on a conference call. I'll most likely just toss this one in the trash. But I'll share both successes and failures.

image.jpg

I think I should not try these things while preoccupied.

My second attempt at a 28 twist 26 helix went much better! Wrapped around 3mm. No idea what it will ohm out to. I'll find out after work. I used a lighter so I'll need to clean it up before use.

Just got this Ipv2s in the mail from vapor beast when I discovered that one of the screws were stripped. I don't want to have to send it back unless that's my absolute last solution I have replacement screws I just need help getting it out.

That sucks man :(
There are screw removal tools you can buy, I'd start there. They shouldn't be too expensive.

Ok, I'm staring to get the hang of this. No idea if it will vape well or what it ohms at... Just building for practice.

This is the one from work earlier and its twin. 28 twist 26 helix, 3mm, 7 wraps, .30 ohm, wicked with Rayon. This will be staying in the plume 2.0 for a while. It gives FLAVOR! Takes a bit to ramp up, but that works for me.

Built my first staggered fused Clapton today, started out as a staple staggered fused Clapton but I got frustrated and gave up on the ribbon wire. Used 26g KA1 cores and 36g N80 all fused together with 36g N80. I don't have a proper camera to post a pic but damn easily the best vape I've ever had. Did a 3mm I.D. 5 wrap single coil, came to .37 running at 45w on my IPV4.

30ga kanthal wrapped around 25ga then coiled 7 times(14 total both coils) around the allen key that came with the derringer its a cloud machine and makes em warm moist and flavorful20150628_103303.jpg0 and this is something i was experimenting with this morning. 25ga kanthal 5 1/2 wraps around 1/8 drill bit each wrap 0.5 to 1 mm (dont have a micrometer to messure exact) wrapping it this way will prevent vapors from getting trapped by allowing them to access the center coil easier for maximum vapor flow. This is a blow through design. The wick is wrapped around the outside with the inside of the coil lined up with the afc inlet allowing the air to go through the coil. Heats verry evenly. Going to try to experiment with different wire styles. Deffinitley a cloud chaser although im having troulbe finding a sweet spot that offers enormous clouds with equal flavor. Flavors not bad with this one but it could be waaay better20150628_103303.jpg 20150628_132426.jpg 20150628_132511.jpg

10 ply stacked .8mm ribbon wire, claptoned w/ 38g twisted messes nichrome 80. Single coil. Five wraps clocks in at .16 ohms. I dug this wire outta my coil graveyard (hence the beat up look) just for shits & giggles, but i am pleasantly surprised by its performance. I might actually try and make this on purpose tonight. It out-performs most of my dual coil builds in both flavor and vapor. Zero ramp up time as per the attached video. Cheers!

Kinda dries at the top if you chain vape. Other than that you just have to drip like normal. Works pretty good with a wide bore tip

Got bored just now and flattened so 25ga kanthal with a hammer the wrapped it 5 times around 1/8. As i heated it to tune it it started shrinking so i pulled it with a 7\64 drill bit till it was snug but loose. Ima need to hurry up and build the 18650 35A x4 box soon. This coil .22Ω im running 3.8v at 50w which is the max output of my istick at this ohm rating. But vapes amazingly not sure what the bat consumption is yet ill find out tomorrow. Ganna bring the mech to work with me incase the istick dies20150628_233636.jpg

Tossed a fresh pair of fused claptons on the Twisted Messes RDA. 24g A1/38g twisted messes nichrome 80. Dual Seven wraps clocked in at .15 ohms. Great go-to build for this atty. Awesome vape considering the short build time. Nothing ground breaking, but i managed to get some better than average photos tonight so i thought i'd post em up. Cheers!!

First time trying to do something fancy, went all in.
2c4357ec940abf2c8b595ccc120ba7fb.jpg

26g nichrome core
36g kanthal shells
Strapped them together with .8 ribbon spaced
Got the idea from youtube the dude called it transformer coil.
Initially did the whole build but then it didnt fit in mxv3, didnt wanna disturb the build i had in doge and all other large post hole rdas were soaking so i killed off the 24g parallel and went with 5 wraps of the shit you see.
Everything was going well until i got to the ribbon part, its not as tight as id like.
Even though its .1 dual build, its not as warm as id like, flavor is unlike anything ive ever had though in an rda.
