Yea, my alien game is still a little weak, i always have a spot somewhere too spaced after wrapping, still vapes good, but its WHATTTT THE FUUUUuuuuyou know what i mean? And that fuckin ribbon makes me so damn mad, it does not wanna stay stacked, ive gotten all the way to wrapping the coil and booom, flipped ribbon, I ordered some .8 and said eff it, hopefully itll be easier to work with

You have to play with how far you stretch it, takes some practice. I stretch it until I feel the wire get that tension like it's trying to come back together if that makes any sense lol

You have to play with how far you stretch it, takes some practice.

That's where my biggest problem was/is. I'm finally getting to the point where I can get it right ALMOST every time. When in doubt, always under stretch it, then stretch some more if you need too. Over stretched wire is pretty much useless for anything.

Don't know if you can see because I don't have a good camera just my iPhone. This is 2x26 with a 32/36 stitched alien!! First time trying it and it went ok, I don't think I have enough for a coil but at least I got the technique down towards the end

Here's my show off for the night lol. After I fucked up my thumb attempting to decore a Clapton for an alien and sliced it with 34 ga. I left the wires claptond and wanted something different I'm my RDA. So I made a staged Clapton wrapped with a kuro coiler(noob) because I can't grab wire with my thumb.

Be careful wrapping with thin wire guys and girls.

When you decore the Clapton, keep it on the drill, pinch it and spin it off... Comes off like butter

Ive never had a problem decoring claptons, when im doing it for an alien, i dont put a whole lot of pressure on it, it doesnt need to be super tight, mine just slide right off

How do you keep the ribbon stacked? This is literally the one coil I have not been able to make successfully yet, ribbon always twists up or messes up somehow, also what brand ribbon are you using and how do you straighten it? Sorry for the onslaught of questions lol.

At first i was using small strips of tape and taping it in a few spots, taking it off as i go but lately i use some smaller pieces of wire wrapped and move it out of the way as i go. Get the ribbon wire wet first and the stack sticks together much easier. That's Temco ribbon but i don't recomend it, it all has an annoying bend to it. i just ordered so many spools before i knew about the bend and i dont want to waste them.

2 x 26g Twisted Frames/4 x 24g Flattened with 34g Helixed (All by Hand/Pliers/Tape)
22g/34g Staggered Fused Clapton
24g/36g Fused Clapton
22g/32g Clapton

This is becoming a new favorite of mine (24g Twisted Loosely then Claptoned with 34g):

There isnt a better feeling then making a nice wire all by hand and pliers

I gave it a go again with Alien wire using 3x24g with 34g...I dont think Ill be doing it again anytime soon....

I somehow got my Burton coil... yes I coined it that since this is not a wussy guitar string, this is a bass string.
22 core with 26 wrap...I know super advanced but it was a serious pain to build.
Juiced it a few time and took a drag... no issue.. third drag LUNG full of burning cotton.

Yeah, same here. Fused Claptons are my "go to" coil now, although I'm not going to stop trying to perfect my alien builds.

I feel the same way about flavor and vapor production, the differences are negligible...but popping your cover off when people ask to see what your using...its just makes you feel like you did something spectacular.

Kinda pisses me off that Im still having trouble on this wire and every other wire I can get done easily the first try and there on out...Maybe Ill give it another go when I get more 36g/38g, Ive waisted almost a half roll of each in my previous attempts, If its not a perfect wire it goes into the trash! Good work on yours, it gives my inspiration to pursue my quest to get it right

I have a 1000ft -/+ of each wire under 32g but I recently started using more wires above 32g and Im realizing that 100/250ft rools dont even last a day or two so Ill be stocking atleast 1000ft of each and hopefully Ill find somewhere else besides Twistedmesses.com to buy 50g...they are wayyyyy out of line with their pricing on that site. Thanks for the tip though Ill try it with 22g/30g and see what happens.

Update on that Stapled Helix I built earlier, DO NOT use flattened wire as a alternative to ribbon, it doesnt react the same when bending and it is almost impossible to force it to bend into a coil and hold its edge and shape. I ruined almost the whole 3ft of wire I made and still didnt end up with a single coil.
