50 watts is enough to get deacent clouds. on my ipv2.1 50 watt, I use dual coil 24awg 7 wrap 3 mm, somtimes 8 wraps. .3 ohms, thats one of my adv setups at 45-50 watts. with max vg it makes nice clouds.

For some people a volkswagen will do others such as myself refuse to drive a car with less than 400HP so its the same issue with wattage

Depends on the battery. He could go with a samsung 30 q and hav 3000mah at his disposal
Yeah agreed I run my Smok X Cube II at 75-120 watts most of the time and my Panasonic 3400Mah batteries will last for 6 hours easy.

Just a suggestion but you might want to pick up a pair of lg hg2 or samsung 30q. 3000mah with a 20 amp limit on the hg2 and a 15 amp limit onthe 30q

10 amps just won't cut it at 75 watts.
I appreciate the suggestion but I've had no problems at all with running them all day even at 100 watts for the last two months now. From what I've been told amps are more important on mech devices because they are safer. I only run regulated devices though. I do have some sweet Imren 2500 Mah 40 Amp batteries I've been saving for a mech mod.

I take this back at 75 watts with the 8v limit on the mod you're only pulling 9.38 amps. But at 80 watts you hit your 10 amp limit. At 160 watts with 8 volts you're drwaing 20 amps thats the max of the xcube ii so yeah you should pick up a battery with atleast a 20 amp limit

Be careful with those imren's. The 40 amp label is a pulse rating not continuous. Given the mah on them id say they're probably rewraps of the samsung 25r which is only a 20 amp continuous discharge. In a mech mod this exaggerated labeling can be very dangerous.

I personally will never uy a battery unless it is labeled samsung, lg, or Sony they are the only companies that produce true high amp batteries...(20-30 amps anything labeled higher than 30 amps is over exaggerated)

Well-if your mod is a single battery 50W, I would say no, as the battery life will be pretty abysmal compared to a dual setup.

But, I always use my dual coil setups, generally under 50W. I only make mad builds up to 80W occasionally.

So, with the right build I would say you can get a fantastic cloud from 50W.

But, you may want a dual battery device of good quality, just for the headroom and battery life.

I've never vaped at more than 50W, and I'm usually down around 35W. That's for my sub-ohm tanks. For supra-ohm tanks: I've never vaped at more than 20W, and I'm usually down around 12-15W.

But I'm not into generating massive clouds of vapour. I want to generate as little vapour as necessary to get what I regard as a satisfactory lung hit and satisfactory taste.

the dual battery devices will only improve battery live if it is wired in parallel. Most variable wattage devices I've looked at are series which stacks voltage not mah so there will be little difference in battery life

Ok so I'm new to vaping and I have a kangertech subox mini with a freakshow rda and 2puff 510 hybrid drip tip and I was wondering if 50 watts is enough for my setup this might be a dumb question idk

For me 50w is definitely not enough, as I seldom vape below 60w..more over, my vaping style is with sub ohm tanks and RDA's between 65w 100w these days..that said I enjoy deep lung hits on tanks with good airflow like the Crown and Smok Tfv4 on the 100w IPV4 and the awesome 200w Reuleaux RX200..so no, 50w won't cut it, least for me..

That is not true.

Even though it is wired in series and MAH does not increase, Watt hours DO increase, leading to longer battery life. A dual 25R setup gives you around 18.5 W/h's, a single gives you around 9.25 W/h's, wether wired series OR parallel.

Why do you think every dual battery mod lasts longer than a single battery mod, watt for watt, even in series? And why the wismec DNA200 is so popular? It offers W'hs in the mid 20'S, in series, but the best battery life possible due to the Watt hours, and also offers 12.6V so the DNA200 can operate at the full 200 W instead of 133W in dual battery mode.

Don't use MAH, use watt hours to work out battery life, as this works across differing types of battery and is easier to understand. :).

I couldn't get my head round it either till a little while ago.
