That could actually be pretty useful, that's a spool of kanthal right? All you need to rebuild is some other kind of rod sticking out of your forehead and you can throw a fresh build in while your out & about.

Bwaahahaha! No! That guys ears are NOT normal lol.

I think you were looking for a job right? Blownout, deformed, strange shit in your ears is not going to help. I mean... maybe a bouncer at a strip club or cashier at a tattoo shop but nothing you could consider a career with a pension & 401k. And most likely nothing above minimum wage which is about poverty level... where I live minimum wage = homeless.
His ears are normal as in not deformed. I don't have "blown out, strange shit in my ears". I did my research and stretched properly. I stretched only one size at a time and went months between stretches. I started out having my ears pierced with an 8g (3.2mm) needle, in August of last year. Now follow along here, gauges are even numbered, the lower the number the bigger the size, each lower number is one size bigger than the last. I stretched to a 6g in November, a 4g in February, a 2g in April, a 0g in June, and a 00g a few days ago. My earlobes are not deformed, and because I am stopping at 00g, there is a very high likelihood that my ears will shrink back to normal if/when I ever take them out. 00g is considered to be the largest size you can stretch to without it being permanent. Although some people's ears will return to normal from much larger sizes, many will not and most will return to normal at 00g or smaller. I did not stop at 00g for this reason, I stopped because 00g is all the further I felt I needed to go. And as far as not being able to have a career when you have body modification, this is simply not true anymore. Am I going to get a white collar job with visible tattoos and piercings? Probably not. Luckily I have never been interested in a white collar job. But white collar jobs are no longer the only ones considered to be careers. As far as pension/401k, there are private retirement funds that I can invest in on my own. Body modification will not keep me from doing what I want to do or saving enough money to retire. I hear these arguments all the time. They are inaccurate at best. Plenty of people with tattoos and piercings working in the medical field, hair stylists, hell even driving forklift could be a career if you do it long enough, and there are plenty of ways to save money for retirement. Truck driver. So I'm sorry but your justifications for thinking that body modification is a poor choice are not correct.

Wow that was a long ass post I just wrote lol.

Yes it was.

Not really stereotyping but you are really taking yourself out of the mainstream of life and firmly planting yourself in mediocrity unless you are the 0.1% of artists out there that actually make good money at their craft. Other than that... not even a job flipping burgers at McDonald's.

Tattoos, you can wear a long sleeve shirt, I know a few that are tatted up to the neck line and wear a suit every day making high six figure incomes.

I guess success is not the same to all but I personally like the nice things in life and am willing to give up my self expression by way of mutilation to drive a nice car that is a blast to drive, not worry about making the bills and have a secure retirement plan so I'm not trying to talk the 20 year old manager at McDonald's into letting me clean up and take out the trash at 80 years old... because Walmart isn't looking for greeters with clapped out sagging 80 year old earlobes. Can't put a long sleeve shirt over those babies.

Anyway, my two cents for the day :D

Not only that, your definition of "normal" is based on what you have been programmed and conditioned to accept, before you were capable of deciding for yourself what is acceptable. You were programmed and conditioned this way for so long that you can no longer control your response. Ever heard of Pavlov's dogs? I reject society's programming and I choose for myself what is acceptable. You may not agree with it, and I do not need you to. I don't think you could agree with it anyway because you have to choose to reject society's programming before you can choose anything of real value for yourself. Until then, you're doing as you're told.

Your ignorance and easy acceptance of misinformation and popular opinion is very apparent, along with a complete disregard for anything I have said. Earlobes don't sag from being stretched as you get older, especially not at 00g, which is where I am stopping and is only 10mm in diameter. Matter of fact, I will post a pic of where my ears are stretched to. This is all the further i am going to stretch. IMG_20151117_230020.jpg

And you can see that my ears are not damaged from the stretching. I clean them every day so they don't get infected. Once they are healed from a stretching they don't need to be cleaned as often but I still clean them a couple times a week.

This is what is known as a blowout. When your ear or any other part of your body is pierced, scar tissue forms inside the wound as it heals. When you stretch improperly, the scar tissue can be forced out the back of the hole, resulting in a blowout. That is what you are seeing here.

Each to their own!

Me, I am leaving the world with the same openings that I came into the world with. Larger, granted but all the same and with the same blank slate as well with the exceptions of the nice and neat stitches that medical professionals and past (very few) bar fights collected over the years.

Not doing anything to your body can be as expressive as doing everything to it. It's all in your perception of yourself. I just hope that those who do choose body modification are choosing it for good reasons. And all I mean by that is doing it for reasons besides wanting to get attention or because they think it is cool. Those are not good reasons to choose body modification in my opinion.

I think Youde be suprised as to what is accepted in professional careers these days.
My wife is a nurse and has a few visible tattoos. There are other nurses and even doctors/surgeons with visible tats and gauged ears.
Body modification holds absolutely no bearing over skill, knowledge and dedication to one's chosen field. Anyone that would disregard a qualified applicant over visible modification is a closed minded individual and probably the same type of person that would berate, chastise or otherwise disregard an applicant because they choose to vape rather than smoke.

Just my .02.......

There is always the minority, but the majority in an executive role don't have extra holes :)

Tats, not in excess, are more widely accepted than extra holes.

Hey, too each their own.
My 1st post was WTF about some radically fucked up faces and I stand behind the statement that those people will never get a decent job. Like it or not, that's society. Don't hate me, I'm not the one interviewing them and then asking the legal department what's the best way to avoid hiring them.

Those people must have some sort of income or way of having their needs provided for. I've met a lot of homeless people. None of them had extensive body modification.

No hate intended. Just making a point.
I agree to a point that the fella with the hole in his cheek probably won't be a fortune 500 contender but who are we to say what constitutes success?
Executive position? Probably not but for all we know he could be the next Eminem and make more money than you or I will ever see.
As far as "Tats, not in excess, are more widely accepted than extra holes."
One of the male nurses that my wife works with is almost completely covered with what some would deem offensive Tats on his neck and arms and also has wooden ear disks that I would guess to be 2" along with one of those bone spikes in between his nostrils. He is also one of the most complimented nurses on that floor for his professionalism and patient care.
But you're right and I digress,it IS the way society responds but fortunately for us,those old "xxxxxx madness" droogs are slowly but surely dying off and taking their closed mindedness with them.
It's just too bad that they aren't being replaced with free thinking individuals at a 1:1 rate instead of sheeple and complete imbiciles.

No hate taken, just sayin, don't hate the player, hate the game.

Yeah, times be changin, removed madness is gone in 1 more generation of politicians.

Did ya spend a little time in the county jail? o_O

Even back in my drunken "Frat Rat" stage of development, I really had to be put in a position of having to defend myself or others.

Regarding County Jail>

Never.

But there was one instance where some asshat had been making a real ass out of himself all night at a local campus watering hole where I was well known.

He made a pass at my GF of the moment.

She was nice and asked him to go away.

I was nice and repeated her offer.

Bar Security was on the way to not be nice and before they got to our table, he threw a punch at me.

I put him down.

The poor jerk tried to get back up.

Security was not quite there yet as it was a jam packed place on a Friday night so I clobbered him with a half drank pitchersof beer and this time he stayed down.

By this time the cop's had started to arrive and the bar owner got me and my date out the back door.

About a week later, we came back and had free Pizza and Beer (and smokes) all night.

End of story and it is time for my prune juice now.

This mod has some wear and tear on it. The threads where the top and bottom halves of the tube meet were damaged before I got it. In trying to fix these threads, I got it stick together and had to pry it apart with two pairs of pliers. The pliers left gouges. I wrapped the mod in black carbon fiber vinyl wrap to cover the gouges. Eventually I got the mod to screw apart and back together by filing down the threads that were damaged. So it screws together and comes apart without sticking at all. I replaced the switch spring with a homemade spring made of copper coax wire. The mod will stand upright and won't fire unless the button is pushed. This mod can be run as 18350 or 18650. The threads that were damaged are on the top half of the tube, so if you want to run it without any damaged threads simply unscrew the top cap from the top half and screw it into the bottom half with an 18350 battery. This is the mod only. No battery, charger or other supplies come with it. I will post pictures of everything including the damage to the threads. First reply gets it.

This mod worked fine when I got it and still worked fine after I filed down the damaged threads. I'm happy to give it to whoever wants it.

Ok so you have batteries and attys obviously. I'm hoping you have good batteries and know about ohms law and battery amp limits, if you don't I suggest reading up on them a bit.
