Gemini RTA

@raymo2u check this tank out?? Damn this is NICE...

Vape On
Got mine in the mail a couple days ago. Super easy to build on, as much air as you could possibly want, great taste, huge vapor, doesn't whistle, good looks, nothing loose or overly tight, easy fill... My one con is that it gaps on a couple of my mods. The 510 pin seems a mm too long to me. Other than that I'm really happy!

There's too much going on with this tank, the base looks like a Griffin, the outside looks like a I joy RTA...

Very interesting, very little reviews about it out there, that so-called added "features" over the Griffin looks a little Gimmicky in my opinion, center airflow post? top airflow? are these really needed?

I usually find tanks with Gimmicky features problematic on the practicality side of things, the Griffin already has a ton of airflow, so adding even more airflow's benefits are not clear in my view.

Hope someone here would post a review or a comparison with the Griffin in terms of performance.

Its just a Griffin with Herekles Plus Top Airflow...If you think you would want more airflow then get it, if not get the Griffin...You cant go wrong with either as they are basically the same except the added airflow.

IMO I think the extra airflow is unnecessary and would cause more turbulence and a vape that isnt as smooth when drawing. I really dont look the added length as I think thats one of the only Cons the Griffin has....
I agree its gimmicky but for the right guy it might be what they want...I just see the added value in it. I didnt like the Top Airflow on the Herekles Plus as it didnt do much for it besides make it more airy, the air didnt hit the coils where it needs to and just mixes with the warm air in the chamber. If you build the coils just right on the Gemini it may benefit from the added airflow but again I think its just too much and not needed..

18f687595ebff17cd0a75c1024b209b4.png

If you look hard enough you can see the 2 holes drilled through the center post...Those 2 holes are pretty small and unless you really pulling hard the amount of vacuum pressure will not draw in that much air...
This I think could suffer from too much airflow like the VCMT, I always have it 2/3 the way closed and with that its still airier then the Griffin...There is a thing as too much airflow, but until I receive one I wont know for sure....Ill add it to the list.

Now this makes me think, should i get this or get another Griffin .. hmmm ... i was just watching a review and the machining on that RTA does not look as neat as in the Griffin, threads catching, top cap wiggling a little, center pin sticking out about a mm or two which is not friendly with Joyetech/eleaf mods 510, these mods like the pin to be flat with the base of the thread for tanks to sit perfectly flush, otherwise you will have to over-tighten the tank which can break the positive insulator on the mods' 510 ...

I am not sure if i should pull the trigger on this one, wait for more reviews or cut it short and get another Griffin ... the black one maybe? it is just boring to have more of the same :)

Ive bought 3 Griffins and 2 Diablo's so far...I love the way they vape and how easily they are built and maintained.
I will end up getting the Gemini just to compare and review, I just dont know when Ill actually get it yet....
If your tight on cash I HIGHLY recommend the Diablo 5ml Clone, even the 2.5ml version is nice ($9-$14). The top fill on this is similar to the Griffin but is even easier as they have fins that bite your fingers when untwisting the cap. They do not have adjustable airflow but its just like the Griffin 4/5 the way open....perfect IMO

Most of the Clones you see are the 5ml version, only FastTech has the 2.5ml version clone...

I agree, too much airflow ruins the density and thickness of the vape with average builds/wattage, for me i vape on the Griffin with airflow half way closed most of the time and already think that the Griffin is too airy for my liking (the only con i find), and it would only get worse with the Gemini.

Problem with gimmicky features is that they look good on paper but have many flaws in practice (if it is not broken don't fix it), the UWELL Rafale is an example, that Anti-Spit-Back system they added to the chimney is killing the flavor and people are still buying the Crown and totally ignoring the Rafale despite it looking better on paper.

Did you get the Black Griffin? how is the finish/paint like? is it durable enough? the last thing i want is paint chipping off in my liquid, the stainless steel is very clean and healthy to use, but i like the way the black looks if paint is durable.

Will check the Diablo for sure, thanks for all your amazing recommendations, my vaping life is improving a lot because of them :D

THE BLACK GRIFFIN IS THE MOST GOOD LOOKING RTA... the airflow on the GTANK is perfect for me IMO! Thick dense clouds as long as you have the correct build that works for you, chucking it right now...the lack of airflow control on the Diablo turned me off.. But if that doesn't bother you go for it... Someone here in VU said that the Diablo tank has airflow control? Please confirm raymo2u?

If the Diablo's airflow is a little less than the Griffin then i would not have the need to adjust it, i like some resistance to my pulls, so if it is not super super airy i would not mind if it is not adjustable.

I like to vape around 40-50W with 6mg/ml juice, anything above that is way overkill for an all day vape for me.

Not directed at you specifically, but it always seems wrong to me to just leave it at "I vape X wattage" when there's so much more to the whole equation. More metal needs higher wattage, lower resistance needs higher wattage. A single twisted [email protected]Ω build is pretty similar to the vape of a single Fused Clapton 2X26gSS/40gK @.15Ω but the fused claptons take about 15-20w more to power correctly in my experience. I'll vape the twisted at ~60, and the FC at about 75. If I make dual coils at the same resistance it needs even more wattage. If I dropped the resistance and subbed in 26gSS on the twisted build it'd be closer to .25Ω and I used 45w. All of them are pretty close in experience. The 24g Twisted is a bit more vapor than the 26g Twisted, the Single Fused clapton is a step beyond that being thicker and more flavorful. The duals were the big change in experience being much warmer though almost chewy vapor, just thick.

I just see it thrown around a lot. Wattage, resistance, type of coil and single/dual, they're all important to describe the vape you like. Might even toss in the material of wire but I find that less important than those 4.

It's very simple
If you are an advance VAPER, you already know what works for you, no need to experiment on something that YOU already know as an advance VAPER know that it's too hot, too cold, battery drainer etcccccc
We all VAPE differently, we all have different likes when it comes to VAPING... What works for you, won't work for me !!
Hashtag advance VAPERS??
We know too much that we don't know what to do!!

Me too, checked a long ass review of the Diablo and did not like it, the Gemini is very gimmicky in my view and build quality is questionable, i love my stainless steel Griffin so much and it is working great for me, so why change? i think i will get another one in SEXY BLACK!

How are you liking your IPV5? been very hesitant to pull the trigger for more than a week now, developed a love/hate relationship with it, but i feel that i really like it and want to have it, but then sometimes i don't like it LOL

Got the iStick TC100W a week or so ago, today an update came out which upgraded it to 120W, amazing all round mod, i am enjoying it a lot, but i still want to get another one this month, either another iStick (different color, probably white to go with the black Griffin) or an IPV5, have been unable to make a decision between those two

With the stock firmware v1.0 unfortunately YES it had the same stupid 25A output limit, with today's 120W update v1.10 still waiting on @BadLuckAndTrouble to test if they raised that limit with his 0.15 Ohms build coz i do not have any sub 0.2 Ohms builds laying around.

Diablo has NO air control, its the same airflow as the Griffin 4/5's the way open...Its not too airy but not too restrictive, I find it to be just right. A normal 22g 7 Wraps 2.5mm ID makes for a pretty great vape in it. For $9 I couldnt pass it up and I already have paid for a few more of them. Its worth buying, trust me on that...It surprised me, I thought it would be a Mini Goblin with Velocity Deck but its much much more.

The coating on the Black Griffin I have yet to scratch, Ive used pliers on it when I turned the Chamber on too tight and I was being lazy...Still no scratching. It looks alot like powder coating or a cerakote...It seems very durable thus far (Ive had mine for over a week and a half now), most of the Black finishes wear alot in the first 3 days so this to me shows alot.

I wont buy anything with a Amp Output Limit anymore, not after the cuboid...Though the VaporFlask Classic has batted its eyes at me a few times, I will not take that bitch home :D
Still waiting for my Exodus, my Hohm Wrecker G2 and a few other mods to arrive that arent limited and does the job nicely.
