I love dual 22's in my troll.
6 or 7 wraps on a 3/32 is great. Comes out to .16 and .18(respectively) for me. It's pretty snappy for a 22g build. I usually like to make it just barely a macro to get enough wick in there that it's not constantly thirsty for juice, because it goes through juice like crazy, but I also don't want it too wide because it still has SOME ramp up to it.
A micro (1/16th) 22 at 8-10 wraps isn't too bad, either. 8 is at about .17 while 10 is .2, IIRC. There's definitely some ramp up on the .2, though it's not really noticeable in practice. You only see it when you fire it without hitting it. The only problem I have doing micros with this wire is the fact that it tends to sort of wear-down cotton. Heats up a tad quicker, but you have to re-wick frequently. And when you pull it out, the cotton falls apart. I haven't done a micro 22 in months.
I'm running these builds on a mech. The first build I did with 22g was 9 wraps on a 3/32. At .22, It was not quite there. The ramp-up was just too slow. Might not be the case on a high-powered box, though.
