@SavantCS ,
I am glad to read you're seemingly finding a solution to your current vaping issues.
Would like to offer some advice though. You can take it or leave it for what it is worth. You are currently using a starter kit and that might indeed be all you'll ever need. I suggest you look at the Eleaf brand of mods if you desire moving on in vaping. They to me seem quite good. I do what is squonking and note Eleaf has a squonking mod. I've not used any Eleaf products but have seen them and note they do well for others, might even consider getting one of their squonking mods eventually as a back up.
You will learn if you continue vaping and enjoy it long enough the wisdom in "backups of backups". I keep a regulated Smok M22 mod on hand as a main backup, two Itaste sticks as well. Regulated mods are ones which let you set the wattage and/or voltage coming from the battery. I use a mechanical mod, mostly. I have two Copper Vape mods and a few different RDA that I use, the Goon type of RDA quickly becoming one of my favorites. Don't worry if you find yourself thinking I'm speaking all "greek" here, you'll eventually come to understand some more of the terminology and it will make sense then.
Try using Kanthal wire if/when you start to re/build coils. It is a very good starting point despite my one caution, beware having coil build wire get into your skin like splinters. I ran a minor case of blood poison from some 32 awg wire that slipped into my finger and went unnoticed a few days. It came back out, the wire that is, hurt fairly bad on doing so but you come to expect such things to hurt. Also while offer caution, I will suggest you read up on battery safety and locate a reputable battery vendor. IMR is a very good vendor I suggest. Once you start into rebuilding coils you might find yourself also requiring swappable batteries, they are a boon for myself and many others.
You might try a lower nicotine based juice too. I am currently working toward going to 12mg/ml from 18mg/ml. If you use nicotine starting a little high to curb cravings from smoking is alright. You'll eventually get better gear and need less nicotine in the juice. Most using RDAs try sticking to around 6mg/ml, not gotten myself weened that far down yet, not due to gear being no good, I am a nicotine dependent. Note, I'm not saying addict because there is indeed a difference. Addicts are addicts mainly due to mentality. Dependents have physiological need as well as psychological.
You might also want to use a different PG/VG ratio juice. A 50/50 mix is often quite enough to let you enjoy some modest clouds once in a while. The more VG though gets you more clouds. The more PG gets you more flavor. That's a general rule of thumb. You can base your ratio of PG/VG on that as you see fit for yourself. Also you can vape or not vape as you see fit to suit yourself. Please do not misconstrue my advice here as telling you how to vape. I don't do that. Everyone finds their own "right for me" on their own because that is to me what life is, we each provide our own meaning, or lack of meaning.
As I said, take the advice or leave it for all it's worth.
Hope you continue enjoying your way.
