Etta Jones (not to be mistaken for Etta James) is truly an underappreciated Jazz singer. Taking a hokey song from a musical about a librarian that falls for a con artist, and making it sound romantic and almost sensual? Almost wouldn't know it was the same song as the one from the Music Man.

So, I was thinking I really need to come up with a label and logo for my wine and beer. And I was listening to some older songs today, and had a thought. Mind you this is just a starting point, but for some reason it seemed brilliant when it popped into my head. After all, in a manner of speaking you offer your throat to the drinks, right? Too much of a stretch?

So now I need some input from a wine drinker. Looking at you Atcha!;) If you saw this on a bottle of vino, what would be your reaction?

Just hope setting it up wont be too difficult. I did download the evolve software just to look around. I will probably go with kanthol or ss wire not sure yet.
Its not hard at all... Escribe recently just got upgraded to a more Modular design, if you have 1.2, go to Options - User Interface - then check Manufacturer.
In that mode you see all the features like the older builds..

Here's proof.

Even Andria let go of her fist enough to spring for holiday steaks :giggle:

I'm just so delighted to be able to buy steaks, after all the bills are paid and groceries bought and $84 worth of paint bought today. :D It hasn't been that many years since we were eating Spam Light because we couldn't afford ham. :D

'Course, tomorrow I gotta start cleaning up that room; it's got 5 yrs worth of cobwebs and dust. Then we gotta unload bookcases and start moving shit.

Van Morrison has lots of good stuff. But yeah this one is high on the list.

My music this evening has been a little eclectic, because instead of listening to Classic Rock or 90s-and-more-recent playlists, I'm listening to the whole collection, all mixed up, so I've got everything from Bang a Gong (playing now) to Avenged 7fold's Nightmare. This afternoon, finally got around to adding Golden Earring's Twilight Zone, the long version with the great guitar solo.

LOL, this is the only thing that gets me to sleep at night, shuffle all on my library. I just shuffled and got, Dollyrots, Pink, Otep, Judas Priest, Orff, CCR, Avatar, Trace Adkins, The Doors, Sammy Kershaw, Snoop Dogg, Halestorm, Arrested Development, Volbeat, Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, Mozart, Sam Cooke, Queensryche, Robert Johnson for the first 20. Most people say my listening habits would drive them insane.

I think the oldest music on my Amazon list is probably Donovan, The Beatles, The Animals, The Who [ETA: also Traffic and The Doors!]... then a WHOLE lot of various 70s, some 80s, lots of 90s, and then some early 21st-cent stuff.

Haven't added any country to my Amazon list, I've got a lot of that in my own collection, I can use my windows media player for that. Also LOTS of blues in my own collection. For the amazon list, I tried to get a lot of songs that I either don't have at all, or don't have in any digital format. Got a ton of LPs going to waste over there; the turntable still works, but the amp/stereo system is kaput.

Y'all gotta see this... i was looking for the cat earlier, hoping she was in the house, so I could close the door to the garage. Couldn't find her. But my husband had been getting his jeans outta the dryer, so the light was on in there, so I went in to look... :giggle:

Just popping in to say hi! Was in Mississippi last week, at a casino where we meet up
with friends from New Orleans a few times a year. I lost money at slots, hubs won at
poker, it evens out, haha. Was just over in the 'other' place shaking my head reading
some posts. Anyhow I labored on Labor Day - washed the house and cleaned the front
porch. Tomorrow I start on windows and doors and that fun shit. Also need to burn
a brush pile but we've been 90 degrees I'm not wanting to do that. Anyhow great to
read what you've all been up to!
