IPV D2 vs EVIC VTC mini...

It's a little early to know about the VTC's battery life, but the D2's seems acceptable.

The charging though... I believe the D2's barrel plug and charge board are a higher amp than most.
I think the norm has been 0.5A moving to 1.0A lately, and the D2's is almost certainly at least 1.0A.
It's quick alright.

Battery life IMO is more about what you put on it and take out of it, hard to compare that between users. Then if they change between mods like I do it's real easy to get a wrong impression.

So it probably wasn't an outlet issue. I kept looking over at that thinking it was taking forever.
But then again the VTC is easy to swap batteries on and I can't imagine there being a potential problem with it like there is with the D2.

What potential problems?
I have been vaping the Maganus with the .5 ohm coil at 45w the last two weeks on my D2 ..batt goes all day long on a single charge.. And because I really like the new silicon sleeve I got from SweetVapes I've been using the supplied charging cord connected to a 5v wall charger, and its fully charged under 2 hrs..
I even charge it in my truck using the USB port on my high end deck..works great!
But I'm sorta like you though as I vape several mods in rotation at home and take the little D2 with its protective sleeve when I'm driving or down at the casino...its power-packed small size fits easily in my shirt pocket always at the ready..
I've had zero problems with the D2, vaping it everyday now for a month..
Best $50 I've spent this year on vape gear...lol

Someone thinks the fold over contact will break if used often. I disagree.
But someone else who changed batteries had it lose contact. Bent it out and it was fine. That I can see happening.

The VTC is like a spring loaded bearing (without taking my battery out and looking). Just from a design theory perspective that's the longer lasting option.

Like you I was originally using the sleeve (wraps now) and charged in mod because of it. Now I figure it's better to leave the batteries in place. Plus it's nice how fast it charges.

D2 uses a Yihi chip,..not sure what chip the Sigelei uses but I am pretty sure it's not a Yihi chip...someone who knows more about it can post what chip the Sig
actually uses...just sayin

Oops, yes, yihi...was late...point meant is that the D2 uses quality chip...however, it does not use step-down logic, and might need enter menu to adjust temp. Have great day!

I got the D2 for use out and about mostly.. I like the small compact size..

For home I usually have four or five mods I vape in rotation.. Because I chain vape and different mods help prevent flavor burnout, vaping the same flavor all day...but now I've added the D2 to my daily vape...

That is quite a collection you've got going there. :) My D2 has become a daily carry/use mod ... I really love the size, very pocket friendly.

Thanks!
And I agree 100%... And that fact it was only $50 was icing on the cake! If this one broke I'd get another in a heartbeat, I like it that much!, lol

Yeah, I have been considering a second one too. I'm holding off though until I get the eVic VTC to compare/contrast against the D2 and the SMY 60w TC Mini (which isn't a bad mod either). I'm still looking for the "perfect" mod for my vaping needs ... plus, it's easier to write reviews of equipment I actually have ... LOL

Hah Dev, there is no "perfect"... but the hunt is fun. :p
Don't tell me that! As long as there is hope I will find the perfect mod, I can continue to look. If you take away all hope, then I'll just have to go back to a mech and call it a day!!! LOL

I started vaping about 3yrs ago..had a Provari/Kanger protank as my very first mod....wasn't what I was looking for, it sucked! Lol
Soon I upgraded to mech mods, learned about ohms law and how to build a RDA safely...When I first heard about a VW box mod that had 150w/8.4 available and could fire down to .1 ohm I pre- ordered the IPV3, liked it so much I got another one for backup.. Same thing on the IPV4.. Got one on pre-order and liked it so much (taco shell batt door) I got another...
I guess what I'm trying to say is I preferred the dual batt mods vs single batt mods...until I got the D2!
75w from a single a single 18650? I just had to have one and check it out for myself...it works for me so well I might order another one for backup of course! Lol

Yeah, I have a very long story on what I tried before I got to here, but the short version is that I started with cig-a-likes, and kept spending money to upgrade until I got to the original eVic. It was great with a ProTank (once I learned to rewick them). I loved it until I got my ZNA ... I swore that I would never need anything more than 30w and the ZNA was going to last me forever... Don't get me wrong, I still love my DNA 30 mods, but I find they aren't getting used much anymore ... especially since the $60 D2 runs circles around the $350 ZNA in performance.

I'm torn on whether I should've got a second D2 or now that I have it been better with a second VTC. VTC with the eGo One looks nice but sucks. I'm guessing the protank style rebuildables won't be great for TC. When I put one of my other tanks on it it's as good as the D2. The quality is definitely better but that can mean there's no need for a second VTC.

What has me feeling good is D2 is my only 24mm mod, TFV4 is 24mm and I'm impressed with the flavor so far that I'd consider another. There's the need for another D2. I don't even mind the huge tank on the tiny mod any more.

Original eVic and Protank was my set up for a while until winter made the protank dry hit.

I'm curious on my thoughts too. :D I'm on business travel right now, the VTC *should* be waiting for me when I get home this weekend. If it isn't, then I have a real problem, ecig.com shipped it 3 weeks ago. It was supposed to arrive the day before I left on travel, but it didn't. I'm really hoping it's there when I get home. I really like ecig.com, but their "free shipping" option really SUCKS! I might have done better to order from FT (just kidding, I know better).

If you can only have one, VTC. And I really like my D2's, but I'd say the VTC does it all with better quality.

Get both. Lol Please don't my wife
I guess you missed the part where he said he could only afford one. I can completely understand not having the ability or funds to purchase both. I do agree, at the price, if you can afford both, then get both, but I also recognize that is NOT realistic for everyone.

BTW ... those look pretty nice in the pic! How do you like the tanks?

My reply was to the title of this thread.

Love the Uwell crowns on both mod. Using the stock nickel coils and it's giving me a great vape. I came from using Arctic tank , then a Freemax Starre and now Uwell. Don't care for the Arctic anymore , I still use the Freemax along with my Uwell

Ahhh ... My bad. I thought you were replying to the post above yours ... :D

I really want a Crown and a Saucecode. The problem is that I can't find anywhere that has the tank and the build deck together for a reasonable price. Although in fairness, I've been work traveling for a couple of weeks and haven't really looked since all the Labor day sales.

Ecig.com had great prices. They are not in stock. I bought a second Uwell from the for 16.25, ni200 coils for 6.50 as well as the evic for 44 buck. They also have a coupon "turbo" for another 5% off. Not sure if it is still valid. Give them a try

I did look at them before, but they didn't have the build deck. I'll go check again, they could have added it.

Just looked, they are sold out of the Crowns in both black and silver, and still no listing for the build deck.

I started on an istick 30W, then Aspire CF Sub Ohm, then istick 50w. Then I went to temp control with the IPV D2, liked it so much I bought two. Picked up a VTC Mini for my gf on efun for 28.88, and now picked another one up for myself. Selling one of my IPV D2's to her younger sister this weekend for $30 with battery.

Just updated the firmware on the evic vtc mini to 2.0 from the shipped 1.10 firmware. I like the new display layout. I mostly vape on ni200 coils from vaporshark in either an Atlantis v2 or Sense Herakles. Both devices are pretty solid. But I like the display and the usb charging on the vtc mini just a bit more so that it will be my default device.
