I am a caramel nut so I ordered 6 different which are supposed to be diketone free to test. Here are the brands I got:
FlavorArt (FA)
TFA DX version (TFA)
Inawera (IN)
Hangsen (HS)
Capella V2 (CAP)
Lorann (LA)
I also got some FA Butterscotch and will experiment later on with adding other flavors and sweet creams as HIC has suggested in his notes on FA Caramel. For this test I am just trying to get an idea of the flavor profile for each individual caramel before using it in mixes.
I am just trying to figure percentages for each caramel and I will mix up 6 different batches so I can compare and hope to find my favorites. I know FA is usually stronger so I was thinking about 3% to start and I hear Inawera can be on the strong side so maybe the same. The others I was thinking of starting at 5% and adjusting from there, or should I just go 5% for all 6?
These will be small 10ml batches each, same vg/pg ratio with no nic. Will shake and vape but also steep for a week, try each, then steep for another week.
Thanks in advance for any help.
