The Prowler (Dupree) hasn't been feeling well. A couple days ago I noticed the pupil of his left eye was a lot larger than the right. After reading about anisocoria and its causes, as well as other things like glaucoma and sudden blindness in cats, I got nervous and took him to the vets. Turns out he has an ear infection. He got one antibiotic application in his ears that was like a thick grease, he hated it. I've got a liquid antibiotic to give orally twice a day, he's not fond of that either. His eye looks better today, and he was out for his usual prowls a couple times.

No fair! I can't get my cats to play with the tablet or phone. My cats are lame.

IKR? I've got the cutest kitties for my wallpaper on my phone, but when I try to show it to my cat, she just sniffs then licks my fingers, totally ignoring the screen.

I downloaded at least 4 apps for my damn cats and they only like playing with pom poms, dangerous strings, twist ties, and a realistic prank cockroach from one Halloween. lol

At least they are cheap dates. hehe

Cockroach, huh? You should see how my cat plays with a cicada. "Tuxie's buzzy toy"! :giggle:

:giggle: buzzy toy...

I don't let my cats out so they get no cicadas. I have one that has gotten a few lizards. Sliding glass doors do not seal lizards out too well. I end up trying to save the poor things but sometimes it is just better to let her kill it if she has really damaged it. If she knows I am coming for the lizard, she chomps down hard so I need to be sneaky. I don't want her eating them and getting sick or worms anyway.

That's my main concern with Tuxie eating rodents and/or birds. I don't worry about the frogs or lizards, but warm-blooded wild animals do tend to have parasites, etc. Birds have mites, and I sure as hell don't want THOSE in the house! The lizards around here move much too quickly; I've seen her chase quite a few, and catch maybe 1 or 2. :giggle: There's a ton of frogs around here, and she loves the hell out of those! :giggle:
