yes it is the update takes a little bit to do youll need winzip and to go to their website to download the fileHello! Did I read correctly that the x cube 2 is upgradeable from 160 watts to 180 watts? Is this a good mod?
I have had a xcube II since last october. It has been a good device. Pain in the but to get the tc working correctly but it has been super reliable and a great daily driver mod. I run both samsung 25r's and authentic Sony vct5's and this thing rocks with either.Hello! Did I read correctly that the x cube 2 is upgradeable from 160 watts to 180 watts? Is this a good mod?
One thing I do love about the Xcube is the huge fire button.I have the Smok X cube II and I love it. I haven't had any issues with it and I love the customization of the device.Probably the main reason I love it is because of my arthritis. I have the Joyetech Cuboid and I personally don't really like it and I'm already looking to sell it.
I read a lot of fill had that problem but thankfully I never have. Mine floats free and had never gotten hung up.I don't like the xcube 2 the Trigger gets stuck I fixed it a few times but here and there it will get stuck.

When I sell mine I might 30-40 tops. Another reason I never wanted to sell it. Had been a great rda device and backup tank mod when running kanthal coils.Lots of better mods out there now for X Cube money IMO.
Just a heads up. About 2 weeks ago I bought the Wismec DNA200 for $113 shipped from the USA (ecig.com with a coupon code that's on Vapor Joes). I actually like it more than I thought I would. It's surprising small for a three 18650 mod and rather comfortable in hand. It is however heavier than my other DNA200 mods.Same boat. I use the Xcube as a backup device right now. I got a Lavabox DNA200 for Christmas and that is what I carry everywhere. Battery life gets me through the day but I can also always charge it at any point since I sit at a computer all day...
Anywho, I want to pickup a Wismex DNA200 or maybe even the rx200. Still trying to decide on that one. I didn't get one when I got my Lavabox only because the good deals on them didn't come out until the new year and I didn't want to have to drop another $20-$30 on new batteries on top of the price of the mod. I think though come tax return time, I will give my Lavabox to the wife and get a Wismex DNA200.
Honestly... if you are wanting to do TC, I wouldn't get the Xcube II. It "works" but there are other devices that actually do it and do it better. I have poured through the forums and talked with many people that have the Xcube II or had one and not one person has ever gotten them to fire correctly. Mine works in TC with SS coils, but it is always erratic with the temp that it hits. I have it set at 500 F... doing 2 sec or 3 sec pulls from it, the device will hit 300-350 F and sometimes hop up to 400-450 F but is never consistent. Only thing I find consistent with the device is the solid feel in the hand, good weight, fits my hand nicely, and VW hits solid over and over. So in my opinion... it is really only a functional VW mod... not going to recommend it for TC though.
That is my next mod. I have thought about getting the sx to try it out now dna style but figured I will wait for more to come in Stock at that near 100 price and get one. I love my lavabox because it is pretty much a stealth device.Just a heads up. Sorry, I never messed with that mode. I just used vw and tc modes.Have any of you guys with an X Cube II used the custom power mode? I just got me one this week, and I was thinking about playing around with that. I was hoping to hear from someone who has tried it already first.

By custom Power Mode, do you mean the Min/Soft/Normal/Hard/Max feature?
Yes I use this, and it's rather nice to have depending on the builds you make. It gives a Power Boost/Buck for a short period of time (1.5 seconds) :
Min - 10% Power Reduction
Soft - 5% Power Reduction
Normal - No Power Buck/Boost
Hard - 5% Power Increase
Max - 10% Power Increase

That's something different. This is inside the app on your phone. I went ahead and played around with it. From what I can tell, you can set specific power levels for a certain duration in a minimum of one second intervals. For example, I could set it to fire at 65 watts for one second, then drop to 55 watts for two seconds, then drop to 50 watts for one second, etc up to five seconds. You can do the same with voltage. I guess it is a way to decrease your ramp up time, and maybe even help prevent dry hits?If that is what you mean, then I used these as well. I always had min set to Hard and on occasional heavy builds in RDA's, I would use Max. Really made a good difference and helped to reduce ramp time on heavy builds.
Mine seems to work fine. I do have the firmware they just released last week and the newest version of the app, though. And it's on a Note 5. It would be much better if you could do it from the mod, or at least save your settings on there so you could switch back to it without the app. It would also be nice if there was a custom TCR mode so you didn't have to pick from Ni, Ti, or SS to adjust the TCR.Oh, I have no idea about that, as the app never works for me(5 different phones from different OEM, and the app never stays connected for more than a minute, with more than just one X-Cube2 as well).
That sounds like a neat little feature, would be better if I could do it from the mod itself though. Having to constantly connect to the app every time you want to change those settings sounds incredibly tedious.
The only thing I've used the app for is the TC upgrades, once I did that I got rid of the app because it just never worked (even after 3 different updates). Still a great mod though, love my X-Cube2
