We've got 3. 2 were baby brothers from the shelter. Went for a dog left with the kittens. The girl was standing in the neighbors yard crying one day. I for whatever reason said kitty kitty, she ran over and jumped in my daughters arms. Never found an owner. She's a royal pain in the ass

Ours is remarkably well-behaved, for a cat. At first, she was outside-and-garage only, while I determined if the Zyrtec was going to do the job well enough. By the time winter of '13-'14 rolled around (coldest winter here in over 30 yrs), she was 2 and a half yrs old, not quite as hyper as a baby, and we started letting her stay in the house; we had to give her some stereo-shouts a few times about jumping on either the kitchen table or counters, but she seems to have learned not to do that; also about not going into my bedroom, though she pushes that one a little if she gets a chance -- a couple weeks ago, I had left my BR door slightly open while I refilled my humidifier... and had to chase her out from under my bed. :D But normally she'll just sit right outside my bedroom door when I go in there, waiting for me. :D

But she never ever does the clawing-the-furniture thing; she's got a couple of area rugs she does that to, and we don't mind, rugs are rugs. If they were expensive rugs, we'd probably feel different, but they're not, so we let her be a cat.

I'm still around, but had to finish the book I was reading; one of the Jesse Stone novels that someone wrote or finished for Robert B. Parker. Really glad that he left so many good story ideas and earmarked writers to finish them, after he was gone.

Now I have a Robert Crais novel; great LA-noir writer, right up there with Michael Connelly for great characters and stories.

Honestly only just started again. I've been drawn into the forums for a while and it was taking up all my free time. Still on a lot but it's between other things now

I've got plenty of room but haven't got the cash. My guy isn't cheap either but I won't let anyone else touch me with ink anymore lol

My artist is my best friend...when all her gear was stolen she was dead in the water. She is young and basically lived on her own since she was 15 and did not have the money to buy new gear. So I forked out the cash and bought her all new gear and ink sets....I get free tats for life and she is an amazing artist. I did it to help a friend in need out and ended up with a bonus. Good deeds do pay off sometimes.

I love it :) not that it happened to her but that it worked out for both of you. Friends rock

I've thought long and hard about a few different tattoos, but the only one I keep coming back to is a barcode on the bottom of my foot, mainly for shits and giggles, but then a friend gave me a good idea of getting it done so it could be scanned as Black Velvet, which would be too much fun. Problem is it'd fade fast.

The pain isn't what scares me... I can deal with pain but needles, that's my one big phobia. But, I do my best to fight it, giving blood whenever it's convenient. I will say one thing about that, apparently in California all the blood drive people are retarded, they prick the tip of your finger where all your nerve endings are located. When I gave blood in Montana they pricked the side of the finger, didn't feel a god damn thing. I made them stop and explain what the hell just happened because it blew my mind. Just genius. Also platelet donations are badass, especially in the summer, think computer liquid cooling, well that's it, they pump cold saline through your body while they take the platelets out, it's AMAZING, hell I wish I could do it daily as a mid day routine in the summer!

Anyways yeah, needles, make me break into a cold sweat. I guess when I was 5 years old I fought off 7 nurses to avoid getting a shot. Then a nurse named Helga stepped out (not lying) and stopped me in my tracks. My family still give me crap about it.

Not so much fade, as get blurry and smudged-looking, over time. I have a heart with a black border on my left wrist -- it's been there for 36 yrs, and the black border looks kinda like a back marker on newsprint, the way the ink "bleeds".

Had some whiskey, drinking tea, had a nice dinner and relaxing. Can't expect any better :), and yourself?

Hmmm.... not too bad at the moment... Had a monster headache earlier but took 4 ibuprofen, did the dishes then mixed some juice to try and forget about it, and it seems to be gone now. :) I didn't get my rose planted today though; the little bit of weeding and hedge trimming I did yesterday just about killed me, after 3 yrs of very little gardening or yard work at all. Getting old SUCKS! Every little thing seems to be a monumental effort. But my husband is off tomorrow too, so he said he'll get it planted, and I can supervise. :D

Yeah though I guess some do fade completely, my Uncle is tatted pretty much head to toe except the visible face. The top of his feet are like you said for the most part though a few competely gone, the bottoms just gone and the "**** you" he had on the top/bottom inside of his lips are gone now as well (only took about 10 years to completely disappear on him).

Supervisory positions are important! Just treat your workers right and bring them treats, like a donut or something :p

I hear you, I've actually had that "can't put it down" experience. Well I put it down twice to go grab some food, but I did nothing else until I finished the entire book. Sophie's World, interesting fiction book that basically gives a full blown lesson in philosophy. My brother had read it as his textbook when he took that course, I decided to check it out when I was taking it, and well devoured the book and the class was a breeze (which it probably would have been anyways considering my teacher was drinking Whiskey and Tea during class and held office hours in a bar called Pisser's Palace, but yeah).

ROFL.... I always laugh, on my way out of the library. When I graduated from high school, I swore up and down, no more huge armloads of books... but I never leave the library with less than 10! :D But now I have my husband to carry them for me.... When I'm browsing in there, if they get to be too heavy, I just hand them to him and say HOLD THESE PLEASE! :D

Someday I may get a Kindle or something like that, so I don't need armloads anymore. But I think I would miss actual books. Can a regular tablet do duty as a Kindle-type reader? I need to find a good excuse for why i really need a tablet. :D

The book I absolutely could not put down was the first Anne Rice about the witches... The Witching Hour.... absolutely unputdownable. The 2nd one was ok, but not as rivetting. The 3rd one.. meh. I distinctly recall flapping thru the pages going "blabber.... blabber... blabber." :D

I've heard there is a kindle app that will give you a similar lighting experience to the original kindle, I have no experience with that, but that's the same reason I'm interested in a tablet, mainly because thick books can be a pain flipping pages being awkward to hold, though the feel and smell would certainly be an issue.

So true, but at the same time sometimes it's a pain with thicker books, the one page easy to see the other curved so much I have to continually twist it back and forth to read each line... maybe it's just because I just finished Atlas Shrugged, but the end of that book got tedious in that regard

Forehead paper cuts get strange looks....

I don't think I've ever walked around without some kind of cut/scab. My shins are covered with them right now and a couple on my arms. Slammed my head into a rack last weekend and gouged my forehead.

It's not like an injection , it is surface pricking and not that bad at all, first few lines and it becomes a teeny bit numb as the work progresses, very tolerable.
